Sharra was relaxing on the couch, casually looking through her phone when she heard several vehicles stop outside.

At first, she ignored the noise. Then came another vehicle. Then another.

Curiosity finally got the better of her.

She walked toward the window and carefully moved the curtain. Her face immediately changed.

Police cars were lined up outside her house.

Before she could even call her mother, someone knocked hard on the front door.

Sharra stood completely still.

She didn’t understand why the police wanted to talk to her. Slowly, she unlocked the door.

One of the officers looked at her seriously.

Sharra’s heart dropped.

For several seconds, Sharra couldn’t say a word.

Sharra expected the officers to leave after telling her about her mother. Instead, one of them asked her to come to the station.

Sharra grabbed her phone and looked around the house. Everything suddenly felt unfamiliar.

With no idea what else to do, Sharra stepped outside.

The moment Sharra was allowed to make a phone call, Larry was the first person she contacted.

Larry immediately became concerned.

Inside the interview room, Sharra sat across from two officers. She tried to remain calm, but her hands were shaking.

He placed it on the table but didn’t open it immediately.
