Wayne’s Regret

Wayne Finally Realizes What He Had Done…

That night, Wayne thought giving his daughter a car was one of the happiest moments of his life. But after everyone went to sleep, one question suddenly entered his mind — “What if somebody treated my daughter the way I treated those women?” What happened next forced Wayne to confront a part of his past he had spent years avoiding.

1. A Quiet Evening

SCENE — WAYNE’S ROOM — EVENING

The house was unusually quiet. Wayne sat alone in his room, leaning back in his chair while the lights from the city came through the window.

Earlier that night, he had watched his daughter receive the car he had given her. Her excitement had made him smile. For a few hours, everything felt perfect.

But now, sitting alone, Wayne kept thinking about that moment.

WAYNE:
“I just gave my daughter a car…”

He looked toward the window and slowly shook his head.

WAYNE:
“But what if somebody did to my daughter what I did to other women?”

The question stayed in his mind.

2. The Four Names He Couldn’t Forget

Wayne closed his eyes. Almost immediately, four names came back to him.

D’Nisha. Shayla. Amber. Honey Pot.

He remembered the cars he had given them and the complicated situations surrounding those relationships. Things that once seemed simple now felt much heavier.

WAYNE:
“D’Nisha… Shayla… Amber… Honey Pot…”

Wayne lowered his head.

WAYNE:
“I gave all four of them cars. I thought I was showing love. I thought I was helping. But did I ever stop and think about what my choices were doing to them?”

For the first time, Wayne wasn’t thinking about the gifts themselves. He was thinking about the emotions and consequences that came with them.

3. The Question About His Daughter

Wayne stood up and slowly walked across the room.

His daughter suddenly came back into his mind.

WAYNE:
“If somebody came into my daughter’s life and treated her the way I treated them…”

He stopped walking.

WAYNE:
“How would I feel?”

Wayne stared at the floor.

WAYNE:
“I wouldn’t accept it.”

His voice became quieter.

WAYNE:
“I’d be angry. I’d want answers.”

Wayne took a deep breath.

WAYNE:
“So why did I think it was okay for me to make choices that could hurt somebody else’s daughter?”

The room went silent.

4. Wayne Faces His Regret

Wayne sat down again. His expression showed that the realization had finally reached him.

WAYNE:
“I hurt people.”

He stared at his hands.

WAYNE:
“I made choices without thinking about what those choices would do to them.”

Wayne knew that giving someone a car could never automatically make a complicated relationship healthy. A gift could not erase misunderstandings. Money could not repair trust. And an apology could not instantly erase pain.

WAYNE:
“I can’t change what already happened.”

He paused.

WAYNE:
“But I can take responsibility for it.”

That sentence stayed with him.

5. The Moment Everything Changes

Wayne opened a drawer and noticed the weapon inside.

His emotions suddenly became overwhelming. He stood there for several seconds, staring at the drawer.

Then he stepped back.

WAYNE:
“No.”

He closed the drawer and moved away from it.

WAYNE:
“My daughter needs me.”

Wayne took several deep breaths.

WAYNE:
“And the people I hurt deserve an apology, not another tragedy.”

He picked up his phone.

Instead of making another destructive decision, Wayne decided to call someone he trusted and finally talk about what he had been carrying.

6. Four Apologies

Wayne opened his phone and created a list.

D’Nisha.
Shayla.
Amber.
Honey Pot.

He stared at the four names for a long time.

WAYNE:
“I can’t undo the past.”
WAYNE:
“But I can stop running from it.”

Wayne knew that saying sorry would not magically fix everything. Each person would have the right to decide how they felt about him and whether they wanted to hear what he had to say.

For once, Wayne understood that accountability wasn’t about controlling somebody else’s reaction.

It was about accepting responsibility for his own choices.

7. The Message That Changed Everything

Wayne looked at his daughter’s car keys sitting on the table.

He remembered her smile.

WAYNE:
“Being a father isn’t just about giving your daughter things.”

He looked down at his phone.

WAYNE:
“It’s about showing her what respect, honesty, and accountability look like.”

Wayne finally began typing a message.

But before he could send it, his phone suddenly buzzed.

Wayne froze.

He looked at the screen.

It wasn’t from D’Nisha.

It wasn’t from Shayla.

It wasn’t from Amber.

And it wasn’t from Honey Pot.

It was an unknown number.

THE MESSAGE

Wayne slowly opened the message.

His expression immediately changed.

He read the first line…

UNKNOWN NUMBER:
“Wayne, if you really want to know what happened to those four women…”

Wayne stopped breathing for a moment.

He read the next line.

UNKNOWN NUMBER:
“You need to meet me tomorrow. And you need to come alone.”

Wayne stared at the phone.

His entire expression changed.

Someone knew about D’Nisha, Shayla, Amber, and Honey Pot.

But who?

And why were they contacting Wayne now?
