THE WIFE WHO FINALLY WALKED AWAY
AN EMOTIONAL CINEMATIC STORY
SCENE 1 — THE COLD MORNING
FADE IN: INT. BEDROOM — EARLY MORNING.
Soft sunlight enters the room. Bethany approaches
Larry, hoping for a moment of love.
BETHANY
Why don’t you touch me anymore, Larry?
Why don’t you show me any affection?
LARRY
Stay away from me. I don’t want you touching me.
Bethany freezes. The man she loves looks at her
as if she is a stranger.
SCENE 2 — A HEARTBREAKING ANSWER
BETHANY
I’m your wife. I need love, care, and closeness.
I want to feel loved and connected to you.
Is that really too much to ask?
LARRY
I will never share that kind of closeness with you.
I don’t even feel like being near you.
Silence fills the bedroom. Bethany looks away,
fighting back tears as her hopes begin to collapse.
SCENE 3 — THE BROKEN PROMISES
Bethany remembers their wedding day, the promises,
the smiles, and the future they once dreamed about.
BETHANY
You promised I would never have to beg for love.
I believed you because I loved you.
LARRY
Stop expecting me to love you the way you want.
Bethany stares at him, realizing that she cannot
repair a marriage alone.
SCENE 4 — THE DECISION
INT. KITCHEN — LATER THAT MORNING.
Bethany stands before Larry, determined to speak
one last time.
BETHANY
What about my happiness? What about all the nights
I cried myself to sleep beside my own husband?
LARRY
If you’re unhappy, figure it out yourself.
Bethany turns and walks toward the bedroom.
This time, she is no longer thinking about
how to make Larry happy.
SCENE 5 — PACKING HER PAIN
INT. BEDROOM — MOMENTS LATER.
Bethany opens her suitcase and begins folding
her clothes. Every item carries a memory.
BETHANY
Where did you go, Larry? What happened to
the man who once promised to love me?
She wipes her tears, closes the suitcase,
and walks toward the door.
SCENE 6 — THE FINAL GOODBYE
LARRY
Where are you going?
BETHANY
I’m going to my father’s house. I’m not staying
here another minute. I cannot live with someone
who makes me feel unwanted and unloved.
LARRY
Don’t expect me to come looking for you.
BETHANY
Don’t worry. I won’t.
Bethany walks out and closes the door.
Larry stands alone beside their wedding photograph.
SCENE 7 — THE MYSTERIOUS CALL
EXT. STREET — MORNING.
Bethany’s phone rings. Her father’s name appears
on the screen.
FATHER (V.O.)
Bethany, your husband called me this morning.
What he told me has changed everything.
BETHANY
What did he tell you, Dad?
FATHER (V.O.)
There’s something about Larry that you don’t know.
You must not come home alone.
The call disconnects. A black car stops beside
Bethany. A mysterious woman lowers the window.
MYSTERIOUS WOMAN
Get in, Bethany. If you want the truth about
your husband, you need to hear it from me.
BETHANY
Who are you? What do you know about Larry?
The woman’s expression changes as she looks
toward the road behind Bethany.
MYSTERIOUS WOMAN
There’s no time. He’s coming.
Bethany turns toward the approaching car.
The moment she recognizes the driver, her blood
runs cold.
CUT TO BLACK.
