fsi ) SHAYLA WALKS IN ON ANTHONY AND D’NISHA KISSING — AND IS LEFT SHOCKED!

INT. ANTHONY’S HOUSE – LIVING ROOM – AFTERNOON
The house is quiet. Sunlight streams through the windows, illuminating the elegant living room.
ANTHONY stands beside the couch, talking softly with D’NISHA. Their eyes remain fixed on each other, and the tension between them slowly turns into affection.
ANTHONY
You know, sometimes I feel like everything happening around us is just a test. People keep bringing drama into our lives, but I don’t want that to come between us.
D’NISHA
Then stop letting other people’s drama control what we have. If we’re serious about each other, we need to protect our relationship.
Anthony gently takes her hand and brushes a strand of hair away from her face.
ANTHONY
I’m serious about you, D’Nisha. I don’t want you questioning that.
D’NISHA
Then show me.
Anthony pulls her closer and kisses her. D’Nisha kisses him back. Neither notices the front door opening.
INT. ANTHONY’S HOUSE – FRONT ENTRANCE – CONTINUOUS
SHAYLA steps inside. She has come to speak with Anthony about something important.
SHAYLA
Anthony? Are you home?
There is no immediate response. Shayla walks farther into the house.
SHAYLA
Anthony, it’s me. I need to talk to you.
She turns toward the living room and suddenly freezes. Anthony and D’Nisha are kissing.
Her eyes widen. For several seconds, she cannot move or speak.
SHAYLA
Oh my God…
She stares at them in shock, struggling to process what she is seeing.
SHAYLA
Are you serious right now?
Anthony immediately pulls away from D’Nisha. Both turn toward the entrance.
ANTHONY
Shayla?
SHAYLA
Yes, Anthony. Shayla. The person who just walked into your house and caught you kissing D’Nisha!
ANTHONY
Hold on. Let me explain.
SHAYLA
Explain what? What exactly are you going to explain to me?
INT. ANTHONY’S HOUSE – LIVING ROOM – MOMENTS LATER
Shayla walks farther into the room, trying to hide her hurt behind an angry expression.
SHAYLA
I came here because I needed to have a conversation with you. I wasn’t expecting to walk in on this.
ANTHONY
I understand that you’re surprised, but you need to calm down so we can talk.
SHAYLA
Calm down? You want me to calm down after what I just saw?
D’NISHA
Shayla, nobody is trying to disrespect you.
SHAYLA
Then help me understand what’s going on. Because from where I’m standing, it looks like the two of you are together.
D’NISHA
Anthony and I have our own relationship. We were spending time together, and that kiss was between us.
Shayla looks back at Anthony, hoping he will say something that makes the situation easier to understand.
SHAYLA
Wow. So this is really happening?
ANTHONY
I’m not going to lie about what you saw.
Shayla looks away, blinking rapidly. The awkwardness in the room grows.
INT. ANTHONY’S HOUSE – LIVING ROOM – CONTINUOUS
Shayla takes a deep breath and tries to gather herself.
SHAYLA
You know what? I should have called before coming over here.
ANTHONY
That probably would have been better, but you’re here now. We can still talk.
SHAYLA
No, Anthony. I don’t even know if I want to have this conversation anymore.
D’NISHA
If you came here to discuss something important, you can still say what you came to say.
SHAYLA
It’s hard to focus on anything else when I just walked in and saw the two of you kissing.
D’NISHA
I understand that it was unexpected.
SHAYLA
I’m not the one who turned this into an awkward situation, Anthony.
Anthony falls silent. The tension hangs heavily in the room.
INT. ANTHONY’S HOUSE – NEAR THE COUCH – LATER
Shayla sits down on the edge of the couch. Anthony stands nearby while D’Nisha remains a few feet away.
ANTHONY
Shayla, I don’t want you leaving here thinking that I was trying to embarrass you.
SHAYLA
Then why does it feel like I just walked into something I wasn’t supposed to see?
ANTHONY
Because you weren’t expecting it. But that doesn’t mean anyone was trying to hurt you.
SHAYLA
Maybe not. But you have to understand how this looks from my side.
ANTHONY
I do understand that.
D’NISHA
Anthony and I were sharing a private moment. That’s all.
SHAYLA
I’m trying to understand that. But the timing couldn’t have been worse.
D’Nisha nods slightly. Shayla looks down, her anger slowly giving way to discomfort.
INT. ANTHONY’S HOUSE – LIVING ROOM – MOMENTS LATER
Shayla stands up. Anthony immediately notices.
ANTHONY
Where are you going?
SHAYLA
I think I need a minute.
ANTHONY
You don’t have to leave just because things got awkward.
SHAYLA
It’s not just awkward, Anthony. I came here expecting to talk to you, and now I feel like I’m standing in the middle of something personal.
ANTHONY
I understand. But if you still need to talk, I’m listening.
SHAYLA
I don’t even remember how I was going to start the conversation anymore.
ANTHONY
Then take your time. We don’t have to discuss it right this second.
Shayla hesitates, but the memory of the kiss keeps replaying in her mind.
SHAYLA
Maybe another time.
She walks toward the entrance, opens the door, and steps outside.
EXT. ANTHONY’S HOUSE – CONTINUOUS
Shayla stands on the porch, breathing deeply. She looks back at the closed door, feeling embarrassed and confused.
SHAYLA
I came here to talk, and now I don’t even know what to think.
She walks toward her car, knowing the conversation she wanted to have with Anthony will have to wait.
INT. ANTHONY’S HOUSE – LIVING ROOM – SAME TIME
Anthony watches Shayla walk away. D’Nisha approaches him quietly.
D’NISHA
Do you think she’s going to be okay?
ANTHONY
I hope so. She seemed really caught off guard.
D’NISHA
I don’t want this turning into unnecessary drama between us and her.
ANTHONY
Neither do I. But we can’t control how people react to something they weren’t expecting.
D’NISHA
Then just be honest with her.
ANTHONY
I will.
They share a quiet look, but the romantic atmosphere has disappeared. Shayla’s unexpected arrival has left them both thinking about what happens next.
WILL SHAYLA RETURN TO FINISH HER CONVERSATION WITH ANTHONY?
OR WILL THIS UNEXPECTED MOMENT CHANGE THEIR RELATIONSHIP FOREVER?
