Wayne, Ben & Danielle — A Complicated Love Triangle Full of Jealousy, Betrayal, and Drama
SCENE 1 — A RELATIONSHIP STILL FULL OF PAIN
The tension between Ben and Danielle had been growing for days. What once seemed like a relationship filled with love and understanding had slowly turned into something neither of them could easily recognize.
Ben was still hurt by what had happened between Danielle and Stevie. The fact that Danielle had previously spent the night with Stevie continued to bother him. Even though he wanted to move forward, the memory kept returning whenever he looked at her.
He had tried to put the past behind them. He had tried to give Danielle another chance. But every time he made an effort, he felt like he was the only one fighting for their relationship.
BEN“Danielle, I’m honestly trying to make things work between us. I don’t want us to keep going through the same problems every single day.”
Ben looked at her, hoping she would finally understand how much the situation was affecting him.
DANIELLE“Ben, I don’t know what else you expect me to do. We keep having the same conversation over and over again.”
BEN“Because nothing has changed! I’m trying to move past what happened, but I need you to meet me halfway.”
Danielle looked away instead of responding. Ben could tell that she was becoming frustrated, but he was tired of pretending everything was fine.
He wanted reassurance. He wanted honesty. Most importantly, he wanted to know that Danielle still wanted the same relationship he was fighting to save.
Unfortunately, he wasn’t getting those answers.
SCENE 2 — WAYNE MAKES HIS MOVE
While Ben and Danielle were struggling to fix their relationship, Wayne was preparing to bring Danielle into a completely different environment.
Wayne had offered Danielle a job at his podcast office. It wasn’t just a casual opportunity. He officially welcomed her onto his team, giving her a chance to work closely with him.
For Danielle, the offer seemed like a fresh opportunity. She was excited about the possibility of working in a new environment, meeting different people, and becoming part of Wayne’s team.
But there was something about Wayne’s attention that made the situation more complicated.
Wayne wasn’t exactly known for keeping things simple when it came to women. He enjoyed giving attention, making people feel special, and getting involved in situations that could easily create relationship problems.
Now, Danielle was becoming the latest woman to receive his attention.
WAYNE“Listen, Danielle, I think you’re going to be a great addition to the team. I see something in you, and I want you to have an opportunity to show everybody what you can do.”
DANIELLE“Thank you, Wayne. I really appreciate you giving me this opportunity. I’m definitely looking forward to working with everybody.”
WAYNE“Trust me, we’re going to have a good time. I want you to feel comfortable around here.”
Wayne smiled as Danielle thanked him. But his interest seemed to go beyond simply welcoming a new employee.
He was paying attention to her reactions, finding reasons to keep conversations going, and making sure she knew he was interested in having her around.
Danielle might have considered it friendly attention, but Wayne’s behavior was already creating the possibility of another problem.
SCENE 3 — BEN STARTS NOTICING THE DIFFERENCE
Ben wasn’t completely unaware of what was happening. He knew Danielle had accepted a job with Wayne, and although he wanted to support her career, something about the arrangement didn’t sit right with him.
He had heard enough about Wayne’s reputation to understand why the situation bothered him.
Ben didn’t want to become the kind of person who controlled Danielle’s decisions. He knew she had the right to work wherever she wanted.
But he also believed that being in a relationship meant respecting each other’s concerns.
One evening, Ben decided to bring up Wayne’s involvement in her life.
BEN“So, how’s everything going at Wayne’s office?”
DANIELLE“It’s good. Everybody has been welcoming, and I’m getting comfortable with the work.”
BEN“That’s good. But I hope you understand that I don’t really trust Wayne.”
DANIELLE“Here we go again. What’s wrong with you and Wayne? He gave me a job. That’s all.”
BEN“I’m not saying you shouldn’t work there. I’m saying I know how Wayne operates.”
DANIELLE“Well, maybe you should stop worrying about what other people are doing and focus on us.”
Ben became quiet. He couldn’t believe Danielle was turning his concern into another argument.
He wasn’t asking her to quit. He wasn’t asking her to stop talking to her coworkers. He simply wanted her to understand that Wayne’s behavior could create unnecessary complications.
But Danielle wasn’t interested in hearing another warning.
SCENE 4 — WAYNE TAKES EVERY OPPORTUNITY
At the podcast office, Wayne continued finding opportunities to spend time with Danielle.
Whenever she needed help with something, he was ready to step in. Whenever she had a question, he made sure she received his attention.
The other people around the office could see that Wayne was making an effort to get closer to her.
During one conversation, Wayne brought up her relationship with Ben.
WAYNE“So, Danielle, how are things going with Ben?”
Danielle looked slightly surprised by the question.
DANIELLE“Why are you asking me that?”
WAYNE“Nothing serious. I’m just asking. You don’t seem like somebody who’s completely happy right now.”
DANIELLE“Relationships are complicated. Everybody has problems.”
WAYNE“That’s true. But you shouldn’t have to spend all your time explaining yourself to somebody.”
Danielle didn’t immediately respond. Wayne continued speaking, carefully choosing his words.
WAYNE“I just think you deserve to enjoy yourself. You have a lot going for you, and you shouldn’t let relationship drama stop you from being happy.”
Danielle appreciated the encouraging words, but she also knew Wayne wasn’t someone Ben particularly trusted.
She decided not to make the conversation bigger than it needed to be.
However, Wayne had already accomplished something important. He had started making Danielle question whether Ben was truly giving her the kind of relationship she wanted.
SCENE 5 — BEN REFUSES TO GIVE UP
Despite everything, Ben wasn’t ready to walk away. He still believed there was something worth saving between him and Danielle.
He remembered the better moments they had shared. He remembered when things were easier, when they could talk without arguing, and when they genuinely enjoyed being around each other.
He wanted those days back.
But he also knew that love couldn’t work if only one person was willing to make an effort.
When Danielle returned home, Ben decided to have another serious conversation.
BEN“Danielle, I need you to be honest with me. Do you still want this relationship?”
Danielle looked at him.
DANIELLE“Why would you ask me that?”
BEN“Because I feel like I’m constantly trying to hold everything together. I don’t know where your head is anymore.”
DANIELLE“Ben, I’m still here, aren’t I?”
BEN“Being here isn’t the same as actually trying. I need to know that you want this as much as I do.”
DANIELLE“I’m tired of feeling like everything I do is a problem. First, it’s Stevie. Now it’s Wayne. When are we going to stop going through everybody else and focus on ourselves?”
BEN“That’s exactly what I’m trying to do! But every time I bring up something that bothers me, you act like I’m the problem.”
The room became silent. Neither of them wanted another argument, but neither seemed willing to back down.
Ben was beginning to realize that he couldn’t repair the relationship by himself.
SCENE 6 — WAYNE’S ATTENTION BECOMES A BIGGER PROBLEM
Wayne continued enjoying the attention he was receiving from Danielle.
He knew she was dealing with problems in her relationship, and he seemed comfortable becoming part of the situation.
He wasn’t making things easier for Ben. Instead, his comments and behavior were creating more reasons for Danielle and Ben to disagree.
During another conversation at the podcast office, Wayne made it clear that he wanted Danielle around more often.
WAYNE“Danielle, I hope you know you’re always welcome around here. I like having you on the team.”
DANIELLE“I appreciate that. I’m enjoying the job so far.”
WAYNE“Good. Because I want us to keep working together. I think there’s a lot we can do.”
DANIELLE“Well, I’m ready to get started.”
WAYNE“That’s what I like to hear.”
Wayne smiled. But Danielle wasn’t the only person noticing how frequently Wayne was giving her attention.
His interest was becoming increasingly obvious, and it was only a matter of time before Ben would have to address it directly.
SCENE 7 — BEN AND WAYNE’S TENSION GROWS
Ben eventually reached a point where he couldn’t ignore the situation anymore.
He understood that Danielle was responsible for her own decisions, but he also believed Wayne was deliberately making things more difficult.
Ben didn’t want to create a public scene. However, he wanted Wayne to understand that he wasn’t comfortable with the way he was approaching Danielle.
When the opportunity came, Ben decided to speak up.
BEN“Wayne, I want to ask you something. What’s really going on between you and Danielle?”
Wayne looked at Ben with a surprised expression.
WAYNE“What do you mean? Danielle works with me. I gave her a job. What’s the problem?”
BEN“You know exactly what I’m talking about. I see how you act around her.”
WAYNE“Man, you need to relax. I’m just being friendly.”
BEN“Then keep it professional. She’s in a relationship, and you know that.”
Wayne leaned back, seemingly amused by Ben’s reaction.
WAYNE“If you have a problem with your relationship, that’s something you need to handle with Danielle. Don’t put that on me.”
Ben didn’t appreciate the response.
BEN“I’m handling my relationship. But that doesn’t mean I have to pretend I don’t see what’s happening.”
WAYNE“Believe whatever you want, Ben.”
The conversation ended without any real resolution. But Wayne’s attitude only made Ben more suspicious.
He felt like Wayne was enjoying the situation rather than respecting the boundaries of someone else’s relationship.
SCENE 8 — DANIELLE FINDS HERSELF CAUGHT IN THE MIDDLE
