The Secret Surprise

Anthony had been planning the surprise for several days. He had recently bought a brand-new car, but to him, it wasn’t just another vehicle. It was a gift for Dnisha, someone who meant more to him than words could easily explain.

He could have had the car delivered directly to her house. Instead, Anthony wanted to do everything himself. He wanted to drive the car to her home, park it outside, hand her the keys, and watch her reaction.

He imagined Dnisha walking outside and seeing the car for the first time. He imagined her looking at him in disbelief and asking, “Is this really for me?”

That evening, Anthony finally decided it was time. He picked up the keys, walked outside, got into the car, and started the engine.

He didn’t tell Dnisha where he was going. He wanted the surprise to remain a secret until the last moment.

Dnisha had absolutely no idea that Anthony was driving toward her.

The Empty Road

The evening sky was getting darker as Anthony drove down a quiet road. There was very little traffic, and the streets were almost empty.

Soft music played inside the car. Anthony kept his eyes on the road, but his thoughts kept returning to Dnisha.

He smiled as he imagined her reaction. He was already thinking about what he would say when he arrived.

Everything seemed perfect.

Then, without warning, bright headlights appeared directly ahead.

The sudden glare filled Anthony’s vision.

He reacted immediately and hit the brakes.

The car swerved.

For a moment, Anthony struggled to regain control.

Then came a loud crash.

The music stopped.

The road became silent.

The Phone Call

Back at home, Dnisha was waiting for Anthony. She had no idea what he was doing or where he was.

She checked the clock.

Then she checked her phone.

Minutes passed.

Anthony still hadn’t arrived.

Dnisha finally called him.

The phone rang.

No answer.

She called again.

Still nothing.

A strange feeling of worry began to grow inside her.

Then her phone suddenly rang.

The number was unknown.

Dnisha hesitated before answering.

“Hello?”

A serious voice replied.

“Are you Mrs. Anthony?”

Dnisha’s heart immediately started beating faster.

“Yes… Why? What happened?”

The caller identified himself as a police officer.

He explained that there had been an accident and that the driver’s information had led them to her phone number.

Dnisha could barely speak.

“Whose accident?”

There was a short pause.

Dnisha froze.

“No… that can’t be right. Anthony just went out. He’s coming back.”

But the officer gave her the location and asked her to come there.

The Accident Scene

Dnisha reached the location as quickly as she could. Police vehicles were parked along the road, their lights flashing across the darkness.

Then she saw the damaged car.

She recognized it immediately.

She moved toward the car, but an officer gently stopped her. The emergency responders were still working.

Anthony was inside the vehicle. He was unconscious, but the paramedics were treating him.

Dnisha’s eyes filled with tears.

A few moments later, the paramedics carefully moved Anthony into an ambulance.

Dnisha followed them to the hospital.

Before leaving the scene, one of the officers noticed something inside the damaged vehicle.

It was a small gift box.

The officer picked it up and handed it to Dnisha.

Dnisha stared at the box.

She had no idea that it contained the reason Anthony had been driving that road in the first place.

The Gift He Never Got To Give

At the hospital, Dnisha sat outside Anthony’s room. She held the small gift box tightly in her hands.

A nurse eventually came out and told her that Anthony was stable, but he was still unconscious.

Dnisha closed her eyes and quietly whispered a prayer.

After a few minutes, she opened the gift box.

Inside were the keys to the brand-new car.

There was also a small folded card.

Dnisha slowly opened it.

Tears rolled down Dnisha’s face.

Now she understood everything.

Anthony hadn’t gone somewhere random that evening. He had been driving directly to her.

He had bought the car for her.

He had planned the surprise himself.

Dnisha looked through the hospital window toward Anthony’s room.

She held the keys in her hand and waited.

Hours passed.

Then something finally changed.

When Anthony Opened His Eyes

It was late when Dnisha heard a faint sound from Anthony’s room.

She immediately looked up.

Anthony’s fingers had moved.

Then his eyes slowly opened.

“Anthony?”

He looked confused for a moment. Then he saw Dnisha.

Tears filled her eyes.

“You’re awake.”

She gently held his hand.

“You scared me so badly.”

Anthony tried to smile.

“Are you okay?”

Dnisha nodded.

“I’m okay. But you owe me an explanation.”

Anthony looked at the keys in her hand.

“The car…”

Dnisha smiled through her tears.

“I know.”

She showed him the keys.

“I got your surprise.”

Anthony smiled weakly.

“But I wanted to give it to you myself.”

Dnisha shook her head.

Anthony became quiet.

There was something else he had wanted to tell her. Something he had been carrying with him for a long time.

He looked directly at her.

“What?”

Anthony took a slow breath.

“Then what was the other reason?”

Anthony opened his mouth to answer.

But before he could speak, someone knocked on the hospital door.

The Secret Behind The Accident

A police officer stepped into the room.

“Sorry to interrupt. We need to ask Anthony a few questions.”

Dnisha stepped back, giving them space.

The officer looked at Anthony.

“Do you remember anything about the accident?”

Anthony closed his eyes for a moment.

“I remember the headlights.”

“Anything else?”

Anthony slowly shook his head.

Then Dnisha remembered something.

“There was another phone.”

The officer immediately looked at her.

“Another phone?”

“Yes. It was inside Anthony’s car.”

The officer nodded.

“We found it too. We haven’t identified the owner yet.”

Anthony suddenly looked worried.

“What was on the phone?”

Dnisha looked at him.

“What message?”

Anthony went completely silent.

The officer noticed his reaction.

“You know who sent it?”

Anthony looked toward Dnisha.

For several seconds, he said nothing.

Then he finally spoke.

Dnisha’s expression changed.

“Who?”

Anthony looked at the hospital door.

“I was going to tell you tonight.”

“Tell me what?”

Anthony lowered his voice.

“What do you mean?”

Anthony took a breath.

“Someone had been following me for the last few days.”

The room became completely quiet.

The officer immediately asked,

“Did you know who it was?”

Anthony nodded.

“I think I did.”

Before he could say the name, Dnisha’s phone suddenly vibrated.
