Dave and Shayla are standing near the bed, close to each other. Their conversation has faded into silence.
Shayla looks into Dave’s eyes.
Dave gently holds her.
For a moment, the world outside seems to disappear.
I still can’t believe we’re here together.
She gives him a small, emotional smile.
Dave looks at her, conflicted but unable to pull away.

He gently touches her hand.
Shayla leans closer.
Dave kisses her forehead.

She stops outside Dave’s door.

Amber waits.
She gently reaches for the door handle.
INT. DAVE’S HOTEL ROOM – CONTINUOUS
Amber freezes.
Her smile disappears instantly.
Her eyes widen.
Across the room, she sees Dave and Shayla standing together.
Dave has his arms around Shayla.
Amber cannot believe what she is seeing.
For several seconds, she simply stands there. Silent. Shocked. Heartbroken.
Dave…?
Her voice is barely audible.
Dave suddenly turns. His face changes when he sees Amber.
Shayla also looks toward the doorway.
Amber’s eyes fill with tears.

He immediately steps away from Shayla.

Amber raises one hand. She cannot bear to hear another word.

A tear rolls down her cheek. She quickly wipes it away, but more tears follow.

Amber shakes her head. She looks from Dave to Shayla.

Dave slowly walks toward the window.
Outside, rain continues to fall.
His reflection appears in the glass.
