SCENE 1: THE WOMAN WITH THE BIG HEART

The hallway was quiet as Dinisha walked toward Amber’s room. She kept thinking about the kindness Amber had shown her earlier that day.

Amber had congratulated Dinisha on her engagement, even though Dinisha was engaged to Amber’s ex-husband. There had been no insults or bitter words.

DINISHA: I still can’t believe how she handled everything. If I were in her position, I don’t know whether I could have done the same.

Dinisha stopped outside the bedroom door and smiled. She wanted Amber to know that her generosity had touched her heart.

DINISHA: She could have embarrassed me, but she congratulated me instead. I should go back and thank her properly.

She gently knocked on the door. When nobody answered, she waited a moment before reaching for the handle.

DINISHA: Amber? Are you in there?

She slowly pushed the door open, unaware that the moment ahead would change everything she believed about Amber and Anthony.

SCENE 2: THE UNEXPECTED KISS

Dinisha stepped into the bedroom, and her smile instantly disappeared. Amber and Anthony were standing incredibly close to each other.

Anthony had one hand resting near Amber’s face. They looked into each other’s eyes, seemingly unaware that the door was open.

Then Anthony leaned forward and kissed Amber directly on the lips. Dinisha froze, her fingers tightening around the handle.

DINISHA: What… what is this?

Her voice broke the silence. Amber immediately pulled away from Anthony, and both turned toward the doorway.

AMBER: Dinisha?

DINISHA: Don’t say my name like nothing happened. I just watched him kiss you!

Anthony took a step forward, but Dinisha raised her hand to stop him.

DINISHA: Don’t come any closer. Tell me what I just walked in on!

The room fell silent. Dinisha had come to express gratitude, but now she was staring at a scene she could never have imagined.

SCENE 3: A QUESTION AMBER CANNOT ANSWER

Amber took a nervous breath, searching for the right words. She could see the hurt and disbelief written across Dinisha’s face.

AMBER: Dinisha, I know how this looks, but you need to let me explain.

DINISHA: Explain what? Anthony was kissing you on the lips. What else am I supposed to think?

Anthony rubbed his forehead, struggling to speak.

ANTHONY: It wasn’t supposed to happen like this.

DINISHA: Then how was it supposed to happen? Were you planning to tell me eventually, or were you going to hide it forever?

Anthony had no immediate answer. Dinisha turned toward Amber, her eyes beginning to fill with tears.

DINISHA: I came here to thank you. I was standing outside, thinking about how big your heart was.

She looked between them, struggling to understand how her gratitude had turned into humiliation.

DINISHA: Was that kiss part of your kindness too?

Amber flinched. Her face showed pain, but she still couldn’t provide the explanation Dinisha desperately needed.

SCENE 4: ANTHONY TRIES TO EXPLAIN

Anthony stepped away from Amber and faced Dinisha. He knew that every second of silence was making the situation worse.

ANTHONY: Dinisha, I understand why you’re upset. If I were in your position, I’d have questions too.

DINISHA: Then answer mine. Why were you kissing Amber?

Anthony hesitated and glanced briefly at Amber. Dinisha noticed the exchange immediately.

DINISHA: Don’t look at her. I’m asking you!

ANTHONY: There’s something you don’t know about what happened between Amber and me.

DINISHA: Then tell me!

ANTHONY: It’s complicated.

Dinisha let out a bitter laugh. She was tired of hearing explanations that answered nothing.

DINISHA: Everything becomes complicated when someone gets caught doing something they shouldn’t.

Amber finally stepped forward and admitted that she should have told Dinisha something before today. Those words only made Dinisha more suspicious.

SCENE 5: THE ENGAGEMENT IN DANGER

Dinisha sank into a chair, feeling as though her legs could no longer support her. Her thoughts raced through every memory of her engagement.

She had imagined building a future with Anthony. Now she wondered whether he had been hiding his feelings for Amber all along.

DINISHA: Amber, when you congratulated me earlier, did you already know you still had feelings for Anthony?

AMBER: I wasn’t expecting any of this to happen today.

DINISHA: That’s not what I asked you!

Amber lowered her eyes, unable to give a clear answer. Anthony moved closer but kept a careful distance.

ANTHONY: Dinisha, what happened between Amber and me isn’t something you can understand from one moment.

DINISHA: Then give me the whole story. You had time to kiss her. Surely you have time to tell me why.

Amber wiped away a tear, and Anthony looked toward the window. Neither seemed ready to reveal the full truth.

DINISHA: Why does it feel like you’re both keeping something from me that could destroy my happiness?

SCENE 6: THE QUESTION ANTHONY FEARS

The room grew painfully quiet. Anthony walked toward the window while Dinisha watched him, searching for even a small sign of honesty.

DINISHA: Anthony, turn around. I need one honest answer. Do you still have feelings for Amber?

Anthony slowly faced her. Amber waited anxiously for his response.

He opened his mouth but hesitated, and Dinisha felt her stomach tighten.

DINISHA: You can’t even answer that?

ANTHONY: It’s not that simple.

DINISHA: It is simple for me. You’re either being honest with me, or you’re not.

Anthony looked distressed, but his response only made Dinisha more uncertain.

ANTHONY: I care about you, Dinisha.

DINISHA: That wasn’t my question.

He lowered his head. Dinisha realized that the man she planned to marry might be hiding feelings he had never admitted to her.

SCENE 7: AMBER’S CONFESSION

Dinisha looked directly at Amber, hoping that at least one of them would finally tell her the truth.

DINISHA: I thought your congratulations meant you had accepted everything. I thought you were genuinely happy for me.

AMBER: Part of me is happy for you.

Dinisha stared at her, stunned by the unexpected choice of words.

DINISHA: Part of you? What about the other part?

Amber’s eyes filled with tears. She struggled to find an explanation that would not make the situation worse.

AMBER: I can’t explain everything right now.

DINISHA: You can’t explain it, or you don’t want to?

Amber looked away. Her silence deepened Dinisha’s suspicion that the kiss was connected to something far more serious.

Dinisha realized that Amber and Anthony seemed to share a secret, and neither was prepared to reveal it.

SCENE 8: DINISHA MAKES HER DECISION

Dinisha walked toward the door. She needed air, space, and time to understand what had just happened.

ANTHONY: Dinisha, please don’t leave like this.

DINISHA: How would you prefer that I leave? Should I smile and pretend I didn’t see you kissing Amber?

Her voice cracked as she tried to hold back her tears.

DINISHA: I came here to thank her. I wasn’t looking for trouble, and I wasn’t trying to catch anyone doing anything.

Amber stepped closer, her cheeks wet with tears.

AMBER: I never wanted you to find out this way.

Dinisha immediately turned around.

DINISHA: Find out what, Amber? You keep talking as if there’s a bigger truth behind this kiss!

Amber froze. Anthony looked at her with a worried expression, silently begging her not to say too much.

Dinisha noticed their exchange and understood that the kiss might only be the beginning of a much bigger revelation.

SCENE 9: A SECRET FROM THE PAST

Dinisha stepped closer, refusing to leave without an explanation. She had every right to know the truth about the man she planned to marry.

DINISHA: Whatever happened between you two, I deserve to know. I’m not going to walk away while you both keep lying to me.

Anthony inhaled slowly, looking as though he had reached the point where he could no longer hide everything.

ANTHONY: Before you make any decisions about our engagement, you need to hear what happened before today.

Dinisha stared at him, confused and frightened.

DINISHA: What happened before today?

ANTHONY: Yes. Because that kiss wasn’t the beginning of this situation.

Dinisha looked at Amber. Her face had gone pale, and her hands were trembling.

DINISHA: Then what was the beginning? What are you both hiding from me?

Anthony looked at Amber one last time before reaching into his pocket and pulling out his phone.

SCENE 10: THE MESSAGE ON HIS PHONE

Anthony unlocked his phone and opened a conversation. His expression became serious as he searched for a particular message.

ANTHONY: There’s a reason Amber congratulated you. And there’s a reason neither of us told you the truth.

Dinisha’s heart pounded as she watched his thumb move across the screen.

DINISHA: What reason? Anthony, stop playing games and tell me!

Anthony turned the phone slightly toward her, but he had not yet revealed what was written on the screen.

ANTHONY: If I show you this message, you’ll understand why Amber and I have been hiding the truth.

Amber suddenly grabbed his wrist, her eyes wide with fear.

AMBER: Don’t show her that!

Dinisha gasped. She stared at Amber’s trembling hand and then at Anthony’s shocked expression.

DINISHA: Oh, my God. What have you two done?

SCENE 11: THE TRUTH THEY FEAR

Anthony slowly pulled his wrist free. He looked at Dinisha, knowing that he could no longer avoid the questions.

DINISHA: Why are you so afraid of that message, Amber? What does it say?

Amber wiped her tears, but she couldn’t bring herself to look Dinisha in the eyes.

AMBER: Dinisha, please. You don’t understand what you’re about to see.

DINISHA: Then help me understand! I’m standing right here, and both of you are treating me like a stranger.

Anthony glanced at the screen again. His expression suggested that the message contained something neither woman was prepared to hear.

ANTHONY: Dinisha, I never wanted to hurt you.

DINISHA: Then tell me the truth before there’s nothing left to save.

Anthony took a deep breath and turned the phone toward her. Amber suddenly stepped forward again, desperate to stop him.

Dinisha stared at them both, realizing that the secret might threaten not only her engagement but everything she believed about their relationship.

SCENE 12: THE FINAL SHOCK

Anthony held the phone between them. Dinisha could barely breathe as she waited for him to reveal the message.

DINISHA: Show me. Whatever it is, I deserve to know.

Amber’s eyes filled with panic. She looked at Anthony as if begging him to reconsider.

AMBER: Anthony, don’t! If she reads that message, everything will change.

Dinisha stepped back, stunned by Amber’s words.

DINISHA: Everything will change? What does that mean?

Anthony looked directly into Dinisha’s eyes, then slowly turned the screen toward her.

But just as Dinisha tried to read the message, Amber reached out and covered the screen with her hand.

DINISHA: Move your hand, Amber!

Amber stood frozen. Anthony looked from one woman to the other, knowing that the next words could change all their lives.
