Brooke could barely speak. She was sweating heavily, and her breathing had become uneven.
Larry immediately helped her up and rushed her toward the car.
THE RACE TO THE HOSPITAL
Larry drove toward the hospital as fast as he could.Throughout the journey, Brooke remained weak and frightened. She kept one hand over her stomach while tears rolled down her cheeks.
LARRY
“Just hold on, Brooke. We’re almost there.”
Brooke closed her eyes.
She had no idea that the next few minutes were about to change her entire life.
THE SHOCKING NEWS
As soon as they reached the hospital, the medical staff took Brooke inside.Larry was forced to wait outside the emergency room.

LARRY
“Doctor, what’s wrong with her? Is Brooke okay?”

“Brooke is pregnant.”
Larry froze.

LARRY’S DECISION
Larry was shocked. Brooke was still very young and she wasn’t married.LARRY
“Then… perform an abortion.”
The doctor immediately shook his head.
DOCTOR
“No. An abortion could put Brooke’s life in serious danger.”
Larry’s anger grew.
LARRY
“She’s just a kid! How can you tell me she has to go through with this?”
THE ONLY OPTION
The doctor remained calm.DOCTOR
“Brooke’s condition is complicated. Ending the pregnancy could cause severe complications, and there is a serious possibility that she could lose her life.”
Larry’s anger disappeared for a moment.
LARRY
“So what are we supposed to do?”
The doctor took a deep breath.

“We can perform an operation and deliver the baby surgically.”
THE OPERATION
Hours later, the doctors prepared Brooke for surgery.Larry stood outside the operating room, staring at the closed doors.
The operation began.
Every second mattered.
Larry sat alone in the corridor, his hands shaking.
Then, after what seemed like an eternity, the sound of a baby’s cry broke through the silence.
BROOKE BECOMES A MOTHER
Larry immediately stood up.A nurse walked out of the operating room carrying a tiny newborn baby.
NURSE
“Congratulations. Brooke has given birth to a baby.”
Larry stared at the newborn in complete silence.
A few minutes later, the doctor came out.
DOCTOR
“The operation went well. Brooke is stable.”
Larry finally breathed again.

Brooke slowly looked at her newborn baby.A small smile appeared on her face.
