A baby cries.

THEN — A GUNSHOT TEARS THROUGH THE NIGHT.
INT. HOSPITAL — EMERGENCY ROOM — NIGHT
EMAN lies motionless on the operating table.
Blood stains his shirt.
Doctors rush around him.
The heart monitor keeps beeping.
Fast.
Then slower.
Then fast again.
DOCTOR
His blood pressure is dropping.

ZARHIA stands outside the operating room.
Her newborn baby is wrapped tightly in her arms.

She looks through the glass.

Wayne stands in the middle of the living room.
His face is filled with rage.
WAYNE

Eman steps forward.

Shayla is standing at the end of the corridor.
