SCENE 1 — THE GIFT OF TRUST

INT. WAYNE’S APARTMENT — MORNING

Sunlight pours through the windows. Wayne reviews his bills while Yaya enters the room, looking unusually quiet.

WAYNE

What’s wrong, Yaya? You’ve been quiet all morning.

YAYA

Nothing’s wrong. I’m just thinking about the month ahead. Everything is getting expensive.

Wayne smiles, takes out his credit card, and places it in her hand.

WAYNE

Here. Use it for your monthly expenses. Buy whatever you need. I trust you.

YAYA

Thank you, Wayne. You have no idea how much this means to me.

She hugs him. But over his shoulder, her eyes drift toward the credit card. Her smile slowly disappears.

SCENE 2 — THE SECRET PLAN

INT. YAYA’S BEDROOM — AFTERNOON

Yaya sits on her bed, staring at Wayne’s credit card. Her phone lights up with a message about a private jet purchase.

MIKE (V.O.)

Did you tell Wayne what you’re planning?

YAYA

He gave me the card. When I explain everything, he’ll understand.

MIKE (V.O.)

He gave it to you for expenses, not to buy a jet!

Yaya ends the call, enters the payment details, and presses CONFIRM.

PAYMENT APPROVED.

A second notification appears: ACCOUNT BALANCE CRITICALLY LOW.

SCENE 3 — WAYNE’S PERFECT DAY

INT. WAYNE’S OFFICE — AFTERNOON

Wayne is discussing a business deal when several bank notifications appear on his phone.

WAYNE

A private jet? No. That can’t be right.

He refreshes the account. The balance remains nearly empty.

WAYNE

I never authorized this purchase. Please help me secure my account.

He calls Yaya. She doesn’t answer. He sends one message.

WAYNE’S MESSAGE: Yaya, call me immediately. We need to talk.

SCENE 4 — THE WOMAN WITH THE SECRET

INT. LUXURY HOTEL LOBBY — EVENING

Mike confronts Yaya about the purchase.

MIKE

You actually bought it with Wayne’s money?

YAYA

When I was a child, my father promised me that one day we’d fly on a private jet together. He died before he could keep that promise.

MIKE

Your pain doesn’t give you the right to take away someone else’s choices.

Yaya’s phone lights up. Wayne has sent a message.

WAYNE: I KNOW ABOUT THE JET. COME HOME.

SCENE 5 — THE EMPTY ACCOUNT

INT. WAYNE’S APARTMENT — NIGHT

Wayne stands beside the coffee table, surrounded by bank statements. Yaya enters and freezes.

WAYNE

I gave you that card because I trusted you. And you used it to buy a private jet?

YAYA

It wasn’t supposed to happen like this.

WAYNE

I trusted you with my money, my future, and the things I never even told anyone else.

Yaya places her phone on the table. Wayne reads a message about a second payment.

WAYNE

Why does this person say the jet was only the first payment?

SCENE 6 — THE SECOND PAYMENT

INT. WAYNE’S APARTMENT — CONTINUOUS

Wayne answers an unfamiliar call. The caller explains that additional documents bearing his name have been submitted.

WAYNE

I never signed anything.

A photograph of a disputed financial agreement arrives. At the bottom is a signature that looks exactly like Wayne’s.

WAYNE

How could they have my signature three weeks ago?

A new message appears on his phone.

UNKNOWN MESSAGE: ASK YAYA WHAT HAPPENED THE NIGHT MIKE VISITED YOUR OFFICE.

WAYNE

Yaya, what happened that night?

Suddenly, the doorbell rings. Mike’s voice comes from the other side.

MIKE (O.S.)

Wayne, open the door. We need to talk.

Wayne reaches for the handle. Yaya grabs his wrist.

YAYA

Don’t! If you open that door, you’ll find out what I’ve been hiding from you.

Wayne’s phone lights up one last time.

UNKNOWN MESSAGE: THE JET WAS NEVER THE REAL PURCHASE.

Wayne looks toward the door. Yaya begins to cry. Outside, Mike speaks again.

MIKE (O.S.)

Ask her who the jet actually belongs to.

Wayne turns toward Yaya, waiting for an answer. She opens her mouth, but before she can speak, someone begins pounding on the door.
