When Brooke Confronts Bethany

When Brooke Confronts Bethany After Larry Calls Her Out

The tension in the house had been building all day, but nobody expected it to explode the way it did. It all started when Larry found out that Brooke had gone through Bethany’s phone. He was already frustrated, and the moment he saw Brooke, he decided it was time to confront her.

“Brooke, I need to ask you something,” Larry said firmly. “Why were you checking Bethany’s phone?”

Brooke looked at him, confused by his tone.

“I wasn’t trying to do anything wrong. I was just looking at something.”
“That’s not the point,” Larry replied. “You can’t just go through somebody’s phone whenever you feel like it.”

Brooke crossed her arms, becoming defensive.

“Why are you making such a big deal out of this?”
“Because it is a big deal,” Larry answered. “Do you go through everybody’s phone? Or did you decide Bethany was the one person whose phone you had the right to check?”

Brooke tried to explain herself, but Larry was already angry.

“You need to understand something,” Larry continued. “Just because you’re curious about something doesn’t mean you can invade somebody else’s privacy. If you have a question, ask. You don’t go searching through somebody’s phone.”

Brooke became quiet for a moment.

“So you’re taking Bethany’s side now?”
“This isn’t about taking sides,” Larry said. “It’s about doing what’s right.”

Brooke walked away, clearly upset. But instead of leaving the situation alone, she decided to confront Bethany herself.

BROOKE CONFRONTS BETHANY

A short time later, Brooke found Bethany and walked straight toward her.

“Bethany, we need to talk.”
“About what?”
“About what you told Larry.”

Bethany immediately became uncomfortable.

“What did I tell Larry?”
“You told him that I asked to check your phone. Why did you lie to him?”

Bethany looked confused.

“I didn’t lie.”
“Yes, you did,” Brooke replied. “I never asked you to give me your phone. You were the one who handed it to me.”
“Brooke, that’s not how I remember it.”
“Well, that’s how it happened,” Brooke said. “You made it sound like I just took your phone and started going through everything.”

Bethany tried to calm the situation, but Brooke was becoming more frustrated.

“I never said you stole my phone. I was simply telling Larry what happened from my perspective.”
“No. You told him something that made me look guilty.”

The argument quickly became more heated.

“You could have told Larry the truth,” Brooke said. “You could have told him that you gave me the phone yourself.”
“I already told you, I didn’t lie,” Bethany replied.
“You knew exactly what you were doing.”
“Why are you coming at me like this?”
“Because you put me in this position!”

Bethany tried to walk away, but Brooke followed her.

THE ARGUMENT REACHES A BREAKING POINT

“You could have told Larry the truth,” Brooke said. “You could have told him that you gave me the phone yourself.”

“Brooke, give me my phone,” Bethany said.
“Tell Larry the truth first.”
“Give me my phone!”

The argument reached a breaking point. Brooke angrily pulled the phone away and, in a moment of frustration, dropped it hard onto the floor.

The phone hit the floor and broke.

For a few seconds, everything went completely silent.

“Bethany, you just broke my phone?”
“I was angry.”
“I didn’t mean for it to break,” Brooke said.

Bethany was overwhelmed. The anger on her face quickly turned into shock and hurt.

“That was my phone, Brooke.”
“You didn’t have to do that,” Bethany said quietly.
BETHANY BREAKS DOWN

Bethany picked up the damaged phone and began crying.

“I can’t believe you just did this.”

Brooke tried to respond.

“Bethany, I was just—”
“No,” Bethany interrupted. “You were angry, and you took it out on me.”

Brooke became quiet. She began to realize that her anger had created an even bigger problem.

“I was mad because I felt like you made Larry think I did something wrong.”
“And now look what happened,” Bethany replied.

The tension between them was heavier than ever.

Brooke finally realized that her anger had gone too far. Bethany, meanwhile, was left hurt and shocked by what had happened.

But Larry still had no idea that the argument had escalated this far.

He believed the situation had ended after his conversation with Brooke. He didn’t know that Brooke had confronted Bethany again or that Bethany’s phone had been damaged during their argument.

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?

Will Larry confront Brooke again after learning what happened to Bethany’s phone?

Will Brooke apologize to Bethany and admit that she went too far?

Or will Bethany finally tell Larry everything and demand that Brooke take responsibility?
