The last video left Sharra desperate. Her mother had escaped from a halfway house, and now every passing day brought her closer to the possibility of being caught. If authorities found her, she could face up to six years in prison.

Sharra knew she needed someone with influence to help her mother. That was why she turned to Bethany.

Bethany stared at her for a moment. She remembered how badly Sharra had treated her before, and helping her now was not something she wanted to do.

Bethany sighed.

Sharra immediately thanked her.

Later, Sharra went to meet her mother. She explained that Bethany had agreed to help and had even been willing to speak with Larry about the situation.

When Bethany eventually arrived, however, the atmosphere changed immediately.

Sharra looked confused.

Bethany’s face changed, but she tried not to react.
