jnd ) Destiny and Brooke’s Revenge Takes a Shocking Turn When Larry and Bethany’s House Hides a Dangerous Secret!

THE REVENGE THAT WAITED UNTIL THEY LEFT
SCENE 1 — EARLY MORNING, LARRY AND BETHANY’S HOUSE
The morning sun shines through the bedroom curtains. Suitcases are spread across the bed, and clothes are neatly folded beside them. Larry checks his phone while Bethany finishes packing. For them, it is supposed to be a relaxing trip away from their everyday problems.
Neither of them realizes that their house has been hiding a secret for the past two days.
Bethany, are you sure you packed everything? I don’t want us to drive halfway there and discover that we forgot something important.
(Smiling as she closes her suitcase.)
Larry, I have checked everything twice. Our clothes are packed, the hotel is booked, and the car is ready. For once, can we leave without worrying about something going wrong?
You know me. I like to make sure everything is taken care of before we leave.
Then take care of one more thing. Stop worrying and enjoy this trip with your wife.
Larry laughs softly and walks over to her. He puts his arms around Bethany, and for a brief moment, everything seems perfectly normal.
But downstairs, behind a closed guest-room door, Destiny and Brooke are listening to every word.
They exchange a look.
Their opportunity is getting closer.
SCENE 2 — THE SECRET GUEST ROOM
Destiny stands near the window, watching Larry move a suitcase toward the front door. Her expression is cold and focused. Brooke sits on the edge of the bed, nervously tapping her fingers against her knee.
They have been staying in the house for two days without Larry and Bethany realizing what they have been planning.
Destiny has used those two days to think about Hope and Faith, the sisters who humiliated her and Brooke during their previous confrontation.
Every insult still burns in her memory.
(Whispering.)
Are you sure they’re leaving today? I don’t want us to make a mistake and get caught before we even have a chance to do anything.
They’re leaving today. I heard Larry talking about the trip yesterday, and Bethany has been packing since last night.
What if they suddenly change their minds?
They won’t. Larry has been looking forward to this trip for weeks. Bethany wants to get away from everything for a while, and neither of them has any reason to suspect us.
I still can’t believe Hope and Faith think they can treat us like that and walk away without consequences.
That’s exactly what they believe. They think we’re going to forget everything that happened and pretend we’re not hurt.
Destiny turns away from the window.
But I haven’t forgotten a single word they said to us. Every time I remember the way they looked at me, I get angrier.
Neither have I. I felt like everyone was laughing at us.
Then today, we’re going to make sure they understand that what happened wasn’t the end of this story.
Brooke slowly stands up. For the first time that morning, her nervousness begins to disappear. In its place comes a determination that matches Destiny’s.
Fine. But we have to be careful. We cannot let our anger ruin everything.
We will be careful. We’re not going to let them control what happens next.
Destiny reaches for her phone and checks the time.
The countdown has begun.
SCENE 3 — THE FINAL PREPARATIONS
Downstairs, Larry carries the last suitcase to the car. Bethany follows him with her handbag, reminding him to check the doors before they leave.
The sound of the front door opening reaches Destiny and Brooke. They immediately stop talking.
Brooke looks at Destiny with wide eyes.
(Quietly.)
That must be them.
Stay calm. We’re not moving until we’re certain they’re gone.
They move toward the hallway and carefully peer through the gap in the door.
Outside, Larry places the suitcase in the trunk. Bethany stands beside him, checking her phone for their reservation details.
Larry, did you remember to tell the neighbor that we’ll be away?
I did. Everything is taken care of.
Good. I just want a few days without unexpected problems.
Then let’s make the most of it.
They get into the car. Destiny watches from the window as Larry starts the engine. Brooke stands behind her, barely breathing.
The car slowly moves down the driveway. For several seconds, neither woman speaks.
Then the vehicle turns onto the main road and disappears from sight.
Destiny’s expression changes. She smiles, but there is no happiness in it.
They’re gone.
So, what happens now?
Now we stop waiting.
SCENE 4 — THE PLAN TAKES SHAPE
Destiny and Brooke walk downstairs. The house is suddenly quiet, and the silence makes every footstep sound louder than before.
Destiny moves into the living room and places her phone on the table. Brooke follows, still thinking about what might happen when they finally face Hope and Faith again.
Before we do anything, I need to ask you something.
What?
What if Hope and Faith refuse to listen? What if they start another argument and everything becomes worse than before?
Then we make them understand that this time, we’re not going to let them turn the whole situation against us.
You make it sound easy.
It isn’t easy. But doing nothing hasn’t helped us either.
She walks toward the window overlooking the neighboring houses. Hope and Faith live nearby. Close enough that Destiny can picture their house without even looking.
They probably think we’re sitting somewhere feeling sorry for ourselves. They probably think they’ve already won.
Maybe they’re not even thinking about us anymore.
That’s what makes me even angrier. They get to carry on with their lives while we’re still dealing with what they did.
Brooke lowers her eyes. She understands Destiny’s anger because she has been carrying the same feelings herself. But beneath her anger is a growing fear that revenge could cost them more than they expect.
I want them to regret humiliating us. I really do. But I don’t want to end up being the ones everyone blames.
Then we need to think before we act.
For a moment, Destiny seems to reconsider something. She picks up her phone and scrolls through her messages.
One name catches her attention.
Hope.
Destiny stares at the screen, her thumb hovering above the conversation.
Are you going to call her?
Not yet.
She locks the phone and places it back on the table.
First, I want to know what they’re doing. I’m not walking into another confrontation without knowing what to expect.
Brooke nods slowly. Their plan is no longer just about anger. Destiny wants information, and she intends to get it before she makes her next move.
SCENE 5 — LARRY AND BETHANY ON THE ROAD
Meanwhile, Larry and Bethany are already driving away from the neighborhood.
Bethany rests comfortably in her seat, looking out at the passing scenery. Larry keeps his eyes on the road, occasionally glancing at the navigation screen.
I can’t remember the last time we took a trip without having to deal with somebody else’s problems.
That’s why I wanted us to get away. We spend so much time worrying about everyone else that we forget to enjoy our own lives.
Exactly. No arguments, no drama, and no unnecessary phone calls.
You should tell that to your phone. It seems to have other plans.
Bethany looks at the screen and laughs.
I’m serious, Larry. If somebody calls with a problem, I’m not answering.
She switches her phone to silent and places it inside her handbag.
Neither of them knows that, back at home, Destiny and Brooke are preparing to confront the very people who have caused them so much anger.
There. Now we can finally relax.
Bethany reaches for his hand briefly before settling back into her seat.
For the next few miles, they talk about their destination, the places they want to visit, and the meals they plan to enjoy. Their conversation is filled with laughter.
But the peace they have left behind is already beginning to disappear.
SCENE 6 — THE FIRST MOVE
Back at the house, Destiny returns to the living room and picks up her phone.
Brooke watches as she opens Hope’s contact information.
I thought you said you weren’t going to call her yet.
I changed my mind.
What are you going to say?
I’m going to find out whether she has anything to say about what happened.
Destiny presses the call button. The phone rings.
Once. Twice. Three times.
No answer.
Destiny’s jaw tightens.
Maybe she’s busy.
