A JEALOUS CONFRONTATION THAT COULD EXPOSE A HIDDEN PAST!
SCENE 1 – THE PARTY THAT CHANGED EVERYTHING
The evening begins with laughter, music, and conversations as everyone enjoys the party. Dnisha arrives with Anthony, expecting to have a wonderful time together. She looks happy and relaxed, believing that nothing could possibly ruin their evening.
However, things begin to change when Piarry approaches Anthony.
Piarry greets him with an unusually warm smile. She stands close to him, speaks comfortably, and behaves as though they share a special connection that goes beyond an ordinary friendship.
Anthony seems equally comfortable around her.
They laugh together, exchange jokes, and discuss things that Dnisha does not seem to understand. At first, Dnisha tries to ignore their interaction. She tells herself that Piarry is simply an old friend and that there is no reason to become suspicious.
But the longer she watches them, the more uncomfortable she becomes.
DNISHA (Watching them closely)“Seriously? Why is she acting like that around him? Does she not realize that he came here with me?”
Dnisha takes a sip of her drink, trying to control her emotions.
Across the room, Piarry touches Anthony’s arm while laughing at something he says. Anthony smiles back without thinking twice.
That small moment is enough to make Dnisha’s expression change.
She cannot understand why another woman feels so comfortable behaving that way with her man.
PIARRY (Smiling at Anthony)“You haven’t changed at all. You’re still the same person I remember.”
ANTHONY (Laughing)“Well, some things never change. It’s been a long time, though.”
PIARRY“Exactly! We have so much catching up to do.”
Dnisha watches silently.
The conversation sounds innocent, but the familiarity between them makes her question everything.
She wonders how much history these two actually share.
And more importantly, why has Anthony never mentioned how close they used to be?
SCENE 2 – DNISHA CAN NO LONGER HIDE HER FEELINGS
As the party continues, Dnisha tries to enjoy herself, but her attention keeps returning to Anthony and Piarry.
Every time she sees them laughing together, her frustration grows.
She notices that Piarry does not seem nervous or uncomfortable around Anthony. Instead, she behaves as though she has every right to his attention.
At one point, Piarry approaches Anthony again and begins talking about something from their past.
Dnisha immediately becomes interested.
DNISHA (Interrupting politely)“So, what exactly are you two talking about?”
Anthony turns toward her.
ANTHONY“Oh, nothing serious. We were just remembering some old times.”
DNISHA“Old times? Interesting. I didn’t know you two had so many memories together.”
Piarry smiles.
PIARRY“Girl, you have no idea! Anthony and I go way back.”
Her words make Dnisha even more uncomfortable.
DNISHA (Forcing a smile)“Well, that’s nice.”
She looks at Anthony, waiting for him to explain something.
But Anthony simply laughs and changes the subject.
That reaction does not make things better.
Instead, it makes Dnisha feel as though he is deliberately avoiding the conversation.
She decides not to create a scene at the party. However, she makes up her mind that Anthony will have to answer her questions before the night ends.
SCENE 3 – THE CONFRONTATION BEGINS
Eventually, the party starts winding down.
Guests begin saying their goodbyes, and Anthony prepares to leave with Dnisha.
Just as they are about to walk away, Piarry approaches Anthony for another conversation.
PIARRY“Anthony, it was really good seeing you tonight. We definitely need to spend more time together.”
ANTHONY“Yeah, absolutely. It was good catching up.”
PIARRY (Smiling warmly)“Don’t disappear on me again!”
Anthony laughs.
ANTHONY“I won’t. Take care.”
Dnisha stands beside him, watching the exchange.
Piarry finally walks away, but the tension between Dnisha and Anthony is already building.
As soon as they get some privacy, Dnisha stops walking.
Her expression becomes serious.
DNISHA“Anthony, we need to talk.”
ANTHONY (Looking confused)“About what?”
DNISHA“Don’t act like you don’t know what I’m talking about. What exactly is going on between you and Piarry?”
Anthony looks at her, surprised by the question.
ANTHONY“What are you talking about? She’s just an old friend.”
DNISHA“An old friend? Is that what we’re calling it now?”
She folds her arms.
DNISHA“Because the way she was behaving around you tonight, I would have thought you two were married!”
Anthony sighs.
ANTHONY“Come on, Dnisha. You’re making something out of nothing.”
DNISHA“No, Anthony. I’m asking you a simple question. Why is she so comfortable with you? Why does she act like she knows you better than anybody else?”
Anthony shakes his head.
ANTHONY“We’ve known each other for a long time. That’s all there is to it.”
DNISHA“And how long is a long time? Because apparently, there is a whole history between you two that I don’t know anything about.”
Her voice becomes sharper.
Anthony realizes that this is not going to be an easy conversation.
SCENE 4 – WAS THERE EVER SOMETHING BETWEEN THEM?
Dnisha takes a moment before asking the question that has been bothering her the most.
She looks directly into Anthony’s eyes.
DNISHA“Anthony, I want you to be completely honest with me. Were you and Piarry ever together?”
Anthony pauses.
For a brief moment, he does not respond.
Dnisha immediately notices his hesitation.
DNISHA“Why are you taking so long to answer? It’s a yes-or-no question.”
ANTHONY“Because I don’t understand why you’re making this such a big deal.”
DNISHA“Because I saw what happened tonight! I saw the way she was looking at you. I saw how she was touching your arm and talking to you like you were her husband.”
Anthony becomes defensive.
ANTHONY“She’s allowed to be friendly. That doesn’t mean there’s something going on.”
DNISHA“Then answer my question! Did you ever have feelings for her?”
Anthony rubs his forehead, clearly frustrated.
ANTHONY“Dnisha, you’re letting jealousy get the best of you.”
DNISHA“No! I’m trying to understand the relationship between my man and another woman who seems a little too comfortable around him.”
She steps closer.
DNISHA“Look, I don’t have a problem with you having female friends. That’s not what this is about. What I have a problem with is someone behaving like she has a special place in your life while I’m standing right there.”
Anthony looks away.
Dnisha notices that he still has not given her the clear answer she wants.
DNISHA“Anthony, I’m going to ask you one more time. Was there ever anything romantic between you and Piarry?”
ANTHONY“Why does that even matter if nothing is happening now?”
Dnisha’s eyes widen.
She cannot believe what she has just heard.
DNISHA“Excuse me? Why does it matter? It matters because I’m your woman, and I deserve to know the truth!”
SCENE 5 – DNISHA ISSUES A SERIOUS WARNING
The conversation becomes increasingly heated.
Anthony insists that Dnisha is overreacting, but she refuses to let the matter go.
She has no intention of allowing him to dismiss her feelings.
ANTHONY“I don’t know what you want me to say. Piarry is my friend. We have history, but that doesn’t mean you need to worry about her.”
DNISHA“Then why can’t you explain that history without getting defensive?”
Anthony remains silent.
DNISHA“Listen to me carefully, Anthony. I am not going to compete with another woman for your attention. If you have something going on with Piarry, you need to tell me right now.”
ANTHONY“There’s nothing going on!”
DNISHA“Then make sure that’s the truth.”
She points toward him, her frustration becoming impossible to hide.
DNISHA“Because if I ever find out that you had a romantic relationship with that woman and you’ve been hiding it from me, you’re going to regret it.”
Anthony looks shocked by her warning.
ANTHONY“Are you seriously threatening me over a friendship?”
DNISHA“No, Anthony. I’m telling you that I will not tolerate lies, disrespect, or betrayal. I know what I bring to this relationship, and I’m not about to let anyone make me look foolish.”
Her voice becomes emotional.
DNISHA“I have been giving you my time, my attention, and my trust. The least you can do is be honest with me.”
Anthony looks at her, realizing how deeply the situation has affected her.
For a moment, neither of them speaks.
SCENE 6 – ANTHONY TRIES TO DEFEND HIMSELF
After a long silence, Anthony finally attempts to explain his side.
ANTHONY“Dnisha, you have to understand something. Piarry has been in my life for a long time. We know each other, and we have shared memories. That doesn’t mean I’m trying to start something with her.”
DNISHA“Then why didn’t you tell me more about her before tonight?”
ANTHONY“Because I didn’t think it was important.”
DNISHA“Well, it became important when I watched her behaving like she had some kind of claim on you!”
Anthony shakes his head.
ANTHONY“You can’t expect me to stop talking to every woman who makes you uncomfortable.”
DNISHA“That’s not what I’m asking. I’m asking you to respect our relationship.”
She takes a deep breath.
