SCENE 1 — AN UNEXPECTED VISITOR

D’Nisha is spending a quiet afternoon at home, hoping to finally have some peace. Then someone knocks firmly on the front door.

When she opens it, she immediately recognizes the person standing outside — Kai’s father.

D’NISHA
What are you doing here?

He looks at her with a serious expression and speaks as though his arrival requires no explanation.

KAI’S FATHER
I came to take you home. We need to fix what happened between us.

D’Nisha takes a step back and shakes her head.

D’NISHA
There is nothing for me to fix. I already made my choice.

KAI’S FATHER
You can’t just walk away from our marriage.

D’NISHA
I can choose where I want to be. And right now, I don’t want to go anywhere with you.

SCENE 2 — D’NISHA DRAWS THE LINE

D’Nisha keeps the door open but refuses to move aside.

D’NISHA
You need to leave.

KAI’S FATHER
I’m not leaving without talking to you.

D’NISHA
We have talked enough. I don’t want to repeat the same argument.

He becomes frustrated by her refusal.

KAI’S FATHER
You think you can make this decision without me?

D’NISHA
It’s my life. Yes, I can.

He steps closer, but D’Nisha immediately moves away and raises her hand, asking him to stop.

D’NISHA
Don’t come any closer. I said no.

The atmosphere inside the house suddenly becomes tense.

SCENE 3 — ANTHONY HEARS THE ARGUMENT

At that moment, Anthony arrives outside the house.

Before he even reaches the door, he hears the raised voices. His expression changes as he realizes D’Nisha may be in an uncomfortable situation.

ANTHONY
D’Nisha? What’s going on?

Anthony steps inside and immediately sees Kai’s father standing near D’Nisha.

KAI’S FATHER
This doesn’t concern you.

ANTHONY
It concerns me when she’s clearly telling you to stop.

D’Nisha looks relieved to see Anthony.

D’NISHA
I told him several times that I’m not going with him, but he won’t accept it.

ANTHONY
Then you need to listen to what she’s saying.

SCENE 4 — ANTHONY TAKES A STAND

Kai’s father looks directly at Anthony, clearly unhappy that he has stepped into the situation.

KAI’S FATHER
You have no right to interfere between a husband and his wife.

ANTHONY
I’m not deciding anything for her. I’m listening to what she wants.

KAI’S FATHER
She’s coming with me.

D’NISHA
No, I’m not.

Anthony turns toward D’Nisha.

ANTHONY
Are you certain?

D’NISHA
Completely.

ANTHONY
Then nobody is going to pressure you into doing something you don’t want.

Kai’s father steps forward again, but Anthony positions himself between them.

ANTHONY
That’s enough. Give her some space.

SCENE 5 — THE MOMENT EVERYTHING CHANGES

The tension suddenly reaches its highest point.

Kai’s father tries to move past Anthony, but Anthony stops him and keeps him away from D’Nisha.

D’NISHA
Anthony, please!

Anthony immediately turns toward her.

ANTHONY
Are you alright?

D’NISHA
I’m okay.

Anthony looks back at Kai’s father, keeping his voice calm but firm.

ANTHONY
She has made herself clear. Don’t force her to make the same statement again.

KAI’S FATHER
You think you can decide what happens between us?

ANTHONY
No. D’Nisha decides what happens to her.

D’Nisha steps forward.

D’NISHA
He’s right. I don’t want to return to the way things were.

D’NISHA
I’ve already spent too long trying to convince myself that everything would change.

Kai’s father becomes quiet. D’Nisha realizes this may be the first time she has finally said everything she was afraid to say.

KAI’S FATHER
So you’re really choosing to stay away from me?

D’NISHA
I’m choosing a life where I don’t have to keep feeling trapped.

Anthony remains silent, allowing D’Nisha to speak for herself.

D’NISHA
I don’t hate you. But I can’t keep living the same way just because you want me to.

KAI’S FATHER
And you think this is the answer?

D’NISHA
I think having control over my own life is the answer.

D’NISHA
I’m done letting other people make my choices for me.

Anthony looks at her with respect as she finally stands firm.

SCENE 7 — HE FINALLY WALKS AWAY

For a long moment, nobody speaks.

Kai’s father looks at D’Nisha and realizes that she is not going to change her mind.

KAI’S FATHER
I didn’t expect you to turn against me like this.

D’NISHA
I’m not turning against you. I’m finally standing up for myself.

He looks toward Anthony.

KAI’S FATHER
This isn’t finished.

ANTHONY
Whatever happens next, it needs to happen without forcing her.

After another pause, Kai’s father finally walks toward the door.

D’NISHA
Please leave peacefully. We can handle everything else the right way.

He leaves without another word.

SCENE 8 — AFTER HE LEAVES

The door closes, and the house becomes quiet again.

D’Nisha takes a deep breath.

ANTHONY
You okay?

D’NISHA
I think so. I just didn’t expect him to show up like that.

ANTHONY
You shouldn’t have to face something like that by yourself.

D’NISHA
Thank you for coming when you did.

Anthony nods but remains concerned.

ANTHONY
Just be careful. He may not accept this as easily as he pretended to.

D’NISHA
What do you think he’s going to do?

ANTHONY
I don’t know. And that’s what worries me.

Later that evening, D’Nisha’s phone suddenly vibrates.

She looks at the screen and sees a message from an unknown number.

D’NISHA
Who is this?

She opens the message.

Her expression immediately changes.

ANTHONY
What happened?

D’Nisha doesn’t answer right away. She keeps staring at the screen.

ANTHONY
D’Nisha?

D’NISHA
It’s from him.

ANTHONY
What does it say?

D’Nisha slowly looks up at Anthony.

D’NISHA
He says he knows something about Anthony.

Anthony’s expression suddenly becomes serious.

What exactly did he say?

D’Nisha looks back at the phone, but she doesn’t read the rest of the message aloud.
