1. The Truth Shayla Couldn’t Ignore

For days, Shayla had watched Iman become a different person. His calls were shorter. His explanations changed every time she asked where he had been. Even when he stood in front of her, it felt as if his mind was somewhere else.

Then Shayla saw Delica.

She watched Delica walk into a place where Iman had told Shayla he would never go. In that moment, every doubt Shayla had been trying to suppress came rushing back.

King remained calm.

“You should have stayed away from Iman.”

Delica’s eyes filled with tears.
