LARRY’S HOUSE – AFTERNOON

The afternoon had started like any other day at Larry’s house. Everything seemed peaceful, but Brooke had something weighing heavily on her mind. She had been trying to find the right moment to speak with Larry, and now she finally had the opportunity.

Larry was sitting comfortably when Brooke walked into the room. She looked nervous, constantly checking her phone and then looking back at him. Larry immediately noticed that something was bothering her.

LARRY:

Brooke, you’ve been acting strange all day. You keep looking at your phone, and every time I ask you what’s going on, you change the subject. What’s happening?

BROOKE:

Larry, I need to tell you something. But before I say anything, I need you to promise that you’re going to hear me out. I don’t want you getting angry before you understand the whole situation.

LARRY:

Now you’re making me even more curious. Just tell me what’s going on. Whatever it is, I deserve to know.

Brooke took a deep breath. She knew that once she revealed what she had discovered, things might never be the same between the people involved.

BROOKE FINALLY REVEALS THE SECRET

Brooke moved closer and sat across from Larry. For a moment, she remained silent, trying to organize her thoughts. Larry waited, but his patience was beginning to run out.

LARRY:

Brooke, you didn’t come all the way over here just to sit quietly. If there’s something happening behind my back, I need you to tell me right now.

BROOKE:

That’s exactly why I’m here. There’s something involving Dre and Sharra that I think you should know. I’ve been hearing things, and I don’t think everything has been as innocent as people want you to believe.

Larry’s expression changed immediately. He leaned forward, trying to understand what Brooke was suggesting.

LARRY:

Wait a minute. What do Dre and Sharra have to do with anything? Are you telling me they’ve been keeping something from me?

BROOKE:

I’m telling you that there are things happening that you haven’t been told about. And honestly, I don’t think you would be happy if you knew everything.

Larry shook his head. He had never expected Brooke to bring these two names into the conversation. He wanted answers, but Brooke still seemed hesitant to explain every detail.

LARRY:

Then stop going around in circles. Tell me what you know. I don’t want half a story. I want the truth.

Brooke looked directly into his eyes. She realized that she could no longer avoid the conversation.

BROOKE:

There’s more going on between Dre and Sharra than you realize. I didn’t want to get involved, but I couldn’t keep watching you remain in the dark.

LARRY STARTS QUESTIONING EVERYTHING

Larry stood up and began walking around the room. The names kept repeating in his mind. He tried to remember recent conversations and moments that had seemed unusual at the time.

LARRY:

So all this time, people have been talking, and nobody thought I deserved to know? How long has this been happening? And why am I hearing it from you instead of the people involved?

BROOKE:

I understand why you’re upset. But you need to understand that I didn’t create this situation. I’m only telling you what I’ve learned.

LARRY:

That’s not what I’m asking. I want to know why everybody seems to know something except me. If Dre or Sharra has something to explain, they should be standing right here explaining it.

Brooke looked down. She knew Larry was becoming more upset, but she still believed he needed to hear the information.

BROOKE:

There’s another reason I wanted to talk to you privately. I didn’t want this conversation turning into another argument with everybody shouting over each other.

LARRY:

Well, now you’ve brought it into my house. You can’t expect me to act like nothing happened.

He sat down again, rubbing his forehead. Brooke noticed that he seemed more uncomfortable than before.

BROOKE ASKS LARRY FOR ONE MORE THING

After a brief silence, Brooke remembered another matter she had wanted to discuss. She hesitated before bringing it up, knowing that the timing was not ideal.

BROOKE:

Larry, there’s one more thing I need to ask you. My car insurance is due, and I’ve been trying to figure out how I’m going to take care of it.

LARRY:

Brooke, are you seriously bringing up your car insurance right now? You just told me something that could change several relationships, and now you’re asking me about money?

BROOKE:

I know it sounds strange, but I’m already dealing with a lot. I wouldn’t ask if I didn’t need help.

Larry looked at her for several seconds. He was still trying to process everything she had told him.

LARRY:

Fine. I’ll help you with the insurance. But I don’t want this conversation ending here. If you know something else, you need to tell me the rest.

Brooke nodded. She had received the answer she wanted about the insurance, but she could tell that Larry was becoming increasingly overwhelmed.

BROOKE:

Thank you, Larry. And please, don’t make any decisions until you hear everything. This situation is more complicated than it looks.

GOGO NOTICES SOMETHING IS WRONG

While Brooke and Larry continued talking, Gogo entered the room. She immediately noticed the serious expressions on their faces. Larry was no longer sitting comfortably. He had one hand near his chest and looked unusually uncomfortable.

GOGO:

Larry, are you okay? You don’t look like yourself. What’s going on in here?

LARRY:

I’m fine. I just need a minute. Brooke came over with some information, and we’ve been having a difficult conversation.

GOGO:

That doesn’t explain why you look so uncomfortable. You need to stop worrying about this conversation and pay attention to how you’re feeling.

Brooke turned toward Larry. She had been so focused on explaining the situation that she had not fully noticed how much his condition had changed.

BROOKE:

Larry, maybe we should stop talking for a while. We can discuss the rest later.

LARRY:

No, I need to understand what’s happening. I can’t keep finding out things at the last minute. Everybody expects me to accept everything without asking questions.

Gogo stepped closer, clearly concerned. She asked him to sit down and take things slowly. But Larry suddenly struggled to remain steady.

GOGO:

Larry, look at me. Forget the argument for a moment. Something isn’t right. We need to get you medical help.

LARRY SUDDENLY COLLAPSES

Everything happened much faster than anyone expected. Larry tried to stand up, but his balance suddenly gave way. His expression changed, and he began falling toward the floor.

Gogo immediately reached out, trying to support him before he fell. Brooke jumped up from her chair, completely shocked by what she was seeing.

GOGO:

Larry! Hold on! I’ve got you! Brooke, call for help right now!

BROOKE:

Oh my God! Larry, can you hear me? Somebody please help us!

Gogo tried to keep Larry supported while checking whether he was responding. Brooke quickly called emergency services and explained that Larry had suddenly collapsed and needed urgent medical attention.

At that exact moment, Bethany arrived at the house. She noticed the commotion as soon as she entered and immediately ran toward Larry.

BETHANY:

Larry! What happened? Why is everybody standing around him? Larry, please say something!

Bethany moved toward him, her voice filled with panic. She looked at Brooke and Gogo, desperately searching for an explanation.

BETHANY:

What happened to him? Was he okay a few minutes ago? Somebody needs to tell me what’s going on!

BROOKE:

We were talking, and then he suddenly became unwell. He tried to stand up, but he lost his balance. I called for emergency help.

Bethany looked at Brooke, then back at Larry. All the questions she had suddenly seemed unimportant compared with getting him medical attention.

BETHANY:

Please, Larry. You have to be okay. We can talk about everything later. Right now, I just need you to get through this.

THE AMBULANCE ARRIVES

Within minutes, emergency medical professionals arrived at the house. They quickly assessed Larry and prepared to take him to the hospital for further evaluation.

Bethany stood nearby, trying to understand what was happening. Gogo explained what she had witnessed, while Brooke answered the questions asked by the emergency team.

MEDIC:

We’re going to take him to the hospital so the doctors can examine him properly. Please give us room to work.

BETHANY:

I’m coming with him. I’m not staying here while my husband is being taken to the hospital.

GOGO:

Bethany, go with him. I’ll make sure everything here is taken care of. Just keep us updated when you can.

Brooke remained silent. She had come to Larry’s house intending to reveal a secret, but she never imagined the conversation would end with an ambulance outside.

BROOKE:

Bethany, I know you have questions. But please understand that I never expected this to happen. I was only trying to tell Larry something important.

BETHANY:

Whatever you were telling him can wait. He’s being taken to the hospital, Brooke. I need to know that he’s going to be okay.

As the ambulance prepared to leave, Bethany climbed inside. Gogo watched anxiously while Brooke stood near the doorway, realizing that the secret she had revealed might have consequences far beyond the conversation itself.

AT THE HOSPITAL – BETHANY DEMANDS ANSWERS

At the hospital, Larry was taken for medical evaluation. Bethany waited outside, unable to sit still. Every time someone walked through the doors, she hoped they would have an update.

Brooke eventually arrived at the hospital as well. Bethany immediately approached her. The worry on her face had turned into frustration because she still did not understand what had happened before Larry collapsed.

BETHANY:

Brooke, I need you to tell me exactly what happened at the house. What were you saying to Larry before he became sick?

BROOKE:

I was telling him about Dre and Sharra. I thought he deserved to know that there were things happening that he hadn’t been told about.

BETHANY:

Dre and Sharra? What does that have to do with Larry? And why would you bring up something so serious without telling me first?

BROOKE:

Because it wasn’t my place to tell you before I spoke with Larry. He needed to hear it directly, and I thought keeping it private would prevent another argument.

BETHANY:

You should have thought about the consequences before bringing all this drama into his life. He’s in the hospital now, and nobody knows exactly what’s happening!

Brooke looked away. She understood Bethany’s anger, but she also believed that Larry had a right to know the truth.

BROOKE:

I’m worried about him too. But don’t blame me for everything. I didn’t know he was going to become unwell.

Bethany took a breath and looked toward the examination area. She wanted to continue questioning Brooke, but her attention kept returning to Larry.

SHARRA MAKES AN UNEXPECTED PHONE CALL

While Bethany and Brooke were waiting, Sharra’s name suddenly appeared on Brooke’s phone. Brooke looked at the screen and hesitated before answering.

BROOKE:

Hello, Sharra.

SHARRA:

Where are you? I’ve been trying to reach you. I heard something happened with Larry, and I need to know what’s going on.

BROOKE:

We’re at the hospital. Larry suddenly became unwell while we were talking. Bethany is here with him.

SHARRA:

What do you mean you were talking? What exactly did you tell him?

Brooke became uncomfortable. She glanced at Bethany, who was now listening carefully to the conversation.

BROOKE:

I told him that he needed to know about what was happening involving you and Dre. I couldn’t keep pretending that nothing was going on.

SHARRA:

Brooke, you don’t understand. You can’t just tell somebody part of a story and expect them to understand the whole situation.

BROOKE:

Then why don’t you tell me what part I left out?

There was a long pause on the other end of the call.

SHARRA:

I’m coming to the hospital. We need to talk face-to-face. And when I get there, I want you to explain exactly what you told Larry.

Sharra ended the call. Brooke lowered her phone, looking more worried than before.

BETHANY:

What was that about? Why does Sharra sound like there’s something else we don’t know?

BROOKE:

I honestly don’t know what she’s going to say. But apparently, she believes there’s another part of the story.

SHARRA ARRIVES AT THE HOSPITAL

A short time later, Sharra walked into the hospital waiting area. Her expression was serious, and she immediately looked toward Brooke.

SHARRA:

Brooke, we need to talk. I specifically want to know what you told Larry and how much you actually know.

BROOKE:

I told him what I believed he needed to hear. If there’s something else, then you should explain it instead of accusing me.

SHARRA:

That’s the problem. You told
