FADE IN: BEDROOM – EARLY MORNING

Soft sunlight filters through the curtains. D’Nisha sits on the edge of the bed, one hand resting gently on her stomach. She has been feeling unusually tired and wonders if she might be pregnant.

Anthony walks into the bedroom and notices that she is unusually quiet.

Baby, what’s going on? You’ve been sitting here looking at the same spot for the last ten minutes.

I’ve been thinking about something, and I don’t know how to tell you.

You can tell me anything. Whatever it is, we’ll figure it out together.

Anthony, I think I might be pregnant.

Anthony freezes for a moment, then looks at her with surprise and growing excitement.

Wait a minute. Are you serious right now?

I’m serious. I’ve been feeling different lately, and I have a feeling that something might be happening.

Oh, my goodness. Are you telling me there might be a little baby on the way?

Anthony gently squeezes her hand and pulls her into a loving hug.

GETTING READY TO LEAVE

D’Nisha stands in front of the mirror while Anthony picks up her handbag.

Are you ready, beautiful?

Almost. I’m trying to calm myself down, but my heart is beating so fast.

Baby, I’ve already imagined about twenty different things. But first, let’s get to that hospital.

You’re already getting ahead of yourself!

I can’t help it. The thought of becoming a father has me feeling all kinds of emotions.

He kisses her forehead, and they leave the bedroom together, hoping to discover the truth.

EXT. HOSPITAL ENTRANCE – LATE MORNING

Anthony parks outside the hospital. D’Nisha looks through the windshield, nervous about what the doctor might say.

Hey, look at me. Whatever we find out today, we’re going to handle it together.

I know. I’m just wondering whether our lives are about to change forever.

Maybe they are. And if they are, I think we’re going to have a beautiful reason to celebrate.

Anthony takes her hand, and they walk into the hospital together.

INT. HOSPITAL RECEPTION

The reception area is busy with patients and medical staff. Anthony stays close to D’Nisha as she approaches the desk.

Good morning. How can I help you today?

I think I might be pregnant, and I’d like to get checked.

Of course. Let me get your information, and we’ll arrange an appointment.

After registration, they sit in the waiting area. Anthony gently rubs D’Nisha’s shoulder.

What if the doctor says I’m not pregnant?

Then we’ll know the truth, and we’ll go from there. But if the doctor tells us we’re having a baby, I’m going to have the biggest smile on my face.

A nurse appears at the doorway and calls D’Nisha’s name. Anthony rises and takes her hand.

The doctor is ready to see you now.

INT. DOCTOR’S EXAMINATION ROOM

D’Nisha sits beside Anthony while the doctor reviews her information.

I understand you’ve been experiencing some changes and think you might be pregnant.

Yes, doctor. I’ve been feeling different, and I wanted to make sure everything was okay.

You’ve done the right thing by coming in. We’ll carry out the appropriate tests to determine what’s happening.

Doctor, we just want to make sure she’s healthy and find out whether we’re going to have a baby.

The doctor explains the testing process and begins the necessary checks. Anthony holds D’Nisha’s hand throughout the appointment.

When the doctor steps outside, D’Nisha rests her head against Anthony’s shoulder.

I’ve thought about becoming a mother so many times. But actually being here and waiting for an answer feels completely different.

THE FIRST BIG SURPRISE

A few minutes later, the doctor returns with a warm smile. D’Nisha straightens in her chair while Anthony holds his breath.

D’Nisha, I have some good news for you.

Good news? Doctor, please tell me!

Your test confirms that you are pregnant.

For a moment, neither D’Nisha nor Anthony says a word. They stare at each other in complete disbelief.

Wait. I’m pregnant?

Yes, congratulations!

D’Nisha covers her mouth as tears of happiness fill her eyes. Anthony jumps to his feet with an enormous smile.

Oh, my goodness! Baby, we’re going to have a baby!

Anthony, we’re going to be parents!

I can’t believe it. We’re really going to have a little family of our own. Congratulations, mama!

And congratulations, daddy!

They embrace, overwhelmed by the wonderful news. The doctor discusses prenatal care and the next steps for a healthy pregnancy.

INT. ULTRASOUND ROOM – LATER THAT DAY

D’Nisha lies comfortably on the examination bed while Anthony stands beside her. The sonographer explains the procedure before beginning.

Are you ready for this?

I don’t think anybody could ever be completely ready for a moment like this. But I’m ready to meet our little miracle whenever the time comes.

They look at the monitor together. Anthony squeezes D’Nisha’s hand as they imagine their future child.

I keep wondering whether we’re having a boy or a girl.

Honestly, I just want our baby to be healthy. But I’m already imagining myself teaching a little boy how to do everything.

Oh, so you’ve already decided it’s going to be a boy?

No, ma’am. I’m just preparing myself for every possibility!

They laugh together before returning to the doctor to discuss the results.

THE BIG REVEAL – BABY BOY! 💙

The doctor sits across from D’Nisha and Anthony, reviewing the ultrasound findings. Both are eager to hear the news.

I have another important update for you.

Please tell us, doctor.

Based on today’s ultrasound, the findings indicate that you’re expecting a baby boy!

Silence fills the room for one brief second. Then Anthony’s face lights up with excitement.

A BOY?! Baby, we’re having a little boy! Our little boy!

Oh, my goodness! We’re having a son!

Anthony kneels beside her chair and gently takes both her hands.

Do you understand what this means? We’re going to have a son running around the house!

Anthony, you’re going to spoil him so much!

Absolutely! He’s going to be my little man.

They laugh through their happy tears. The doctor reminds them about prenatal care and explains the next steps.

We will, doctor. We’ll take everything seriously.

We’re going to do everything we can to make sure she gets the care she needs.

CHOOSING A NAME FOR THEIR SON

D’Nisha and Anthony walk out of the doctor’s office hand in hand. Anthony turns toward her with a huge smile.

So, mama, what are we going to name our son?

We just found out we’re having a baby boy, and you’re already asking about names?

Of course! I need to start preparing for my little man.

Well, we’re choosing his name together. You’re not making that decision by yourself.

Deal. But I’m putting my best suggestions on the table.

And I’m rejecting anything that sounds ridiculous!

Anthony bursts out laughing and wraps an arm around her shoulders.

You see what I’m dealing with already? My son hasn’t even arrived, and his mother is running the entire operation!

Somebody has to keep you under control.

A PROMISE OF LOVE

Anthony looks into D’Nisha’s eyes, his playful smile becoming a look of genuine emotion.

I love you, D’Nisha.

I love you too, Anthony.

Thank you for giving us this beautiful new chapter. I know things won’t always be easy, but I promise I’ll be here for you and our son.

That’s all I want. I want our son to grow up knowing he’s loved, protected, and surrounded by a family that wants the best for him.

They embrace in the hospital hallway, holding each other close. Their future suddenly feels brighter than ever.

EXT. HOSPITAL PARKING LOT – AFTERNOON

Anthony opens the passenger door for D’Nisha. Before getting inside, she turns toward the hospital and smiles.

What are you thinking about, baby?

I’m thinking about how I woke up this morning wondering whether I might be pregnant. Now I know we’re going to have a son.

And one day, we’ll tell him this story. We’ll tell him how excited we were when we first found out about him.

And how his daddy started planning his entire life before we even got home!

Hey, somebody has to be prepared!

They get into the car, laughing and smiling.

INT. ANTHONY’S CAR – CONTINUOUS

Anthony starts the engine but pauses before pulling away. He turns toward D’Nisha.

Are you ready to go home, mama?

Yes, daddy. Let’s go home.

I love the sound of that!

He reaches for her hand one more time before driving away from the hospital.

Their journey into parenthood has only just begun. There will be preparations, decisions, challenges, and countless beautiful moments ahead. But today, all they can think about is the wonderful news they have received.

They are going to have a baby boy. And they cannot wait to meet him.
