Scene 1 — A Terrifying Morning

Sharra had no idea that one ordinary morning would turn her entire life upside down. A secret she had been trying to bury was about to return, and this time, she would not be able to escape its consequences.

She had been feeling weak for several days. Nausea, dizziness, and exhaustion were becoming impossible to ignore. She tried to convince herself that she was simply stressed, but deep inside, she knew something was wrong.

Suddenly, she became dizzy and grabbed the dresser to keep herself from falling. Her face turned pale as she realized she needed medical help.

“I don’t understand what’s happening to me. I barely have the energy to get out of bed, and every morning I feel worse.”

She grabbed her purse, slipped on her shoes, and headed to the hospital. On the way, memories of the nights she had spent with Dre returned to her mind. She pushed those thoughts away, hoping the doctor would give her a simple explanation.

Scene 2 — The Doctor’s Office

The hospital waiting room was crowded. Sharra sat quietly, tapping her fingers against her purse while watching patients come and go. Every passing minute made her more nervous.

When the nurse called her name, Sharra followed her into the examination room. The doctor asked about her symptoms and whether pregnancy was a possibility.

“Pregnancy? I don’t know. I haven’t really thought about that. I’ve just been feeling sick, and I can’t explain why.”

“Your symptoms could have several causes. We’ll run a few tests so we can understand what’s happening.”

After the tests, the doctor returned with the results. Sharra immediately sensed that something important was about to happen.

“Sharra, your test results show that you’re pregnant.”

Sharra froze. She stared at him as though she had not understood his words. Her heart began pounding, and she looked down at her stomach in disbelief.

“I’m sorry. What did you just say? Are you absolutely sure?”

The doctor explained that the test was positive and that she would need follow-up appointments to confirm how far along she was. Sharra had arrived expecting an ordinary diagnosis. Instead, she had discovered a secret that could change her entire life.

And she knew exactly who might be the father: Dre.

Scene 3 — The Night She Couldn’t Forget

Sharra left the examination room in a daze. She sat alone in a quiet corner of the hospital, clutching the test results and trying to control her breathing.

Her thoughts returned to the nights she had spent with Dre. At the time, she had believed she could keep that part of her life separate from everything else. She had never imagined that their relationship might lead to such a life-changing situation.

“How did I let things get this complicated? I thought I could handle everything, but now I don’t even know where to begin.”

Tears gathered in her eyes. She was frightened about the future and the questions everyone would ask. What would Dre say when he found out? Would he accept responsibility, or would he disappear when she needed him most?

She thought about Brooke, Larry, Destiny, and Dutchess. They would all have questions if the news became public. Sharra could already imagine people whispering and demanding answers she was not ready to give.

“Everybody is going to want to know who the father is. How am I supposed to look them in the eyes and explain what happened?”

She wiped away her tears. The hardest question remained: should she tell Dre first, or prepare herself for the possibility that he might not react the way she hoped?

Scene 4 — Dre Becomes the Biggest Question

Sharra finally took out her phone. Dre’s name appeared on the screen. She stared at it for a long time, her thumb hovering over the call button.

She wanted to hear his voice and hoped he would tell her she wasn’t alone. But she feared what might happen once she revealed the truth. If she called him, there would be no taking the news back.

“I have to tell him. He deserves to know, but what if he starts asking questions I can’t answer?”

She imagined Dre reacting with happiness, panic, or anger. She wondered whether he might accuse her of trying to trap him. The possibilities frightened her, but she knew she couldn’t hide forever.

Sharra pressed the call button. The phone rang several times before going to voicemail. She tried again, but Dre still didn’t answer.

“Dre, please call me back. I need to talk to you about something important.”

She ended the call without explaining everything. His silence made her feel more alone than ever. She had hoped that hearing his voice would make the situation easier, but now she feared she would have to face the truth without his support.

Scene 5 — Brooke’s Name Enters Her Mind

On her way out of the hospital, Sharra stopped beside the entrance and looked through the glass doors. People continued with their ordinary lives, but hers no longer felt ordinary.

Her thoughts shifted to Brooke. Brooke had a way of discovering things other people wanted to keep hidden. If she learned about the pregnancy, she would undoubtedly have questions.

Larry could also become involved because of his complicated history with Sharra. Their past could make the news even more difficult to explain.

“Brooke is going to ask questions. Larry is going to want answers. If everybody starts talking at once, this whole situation could turn into a disaster.”

She imagined Brooke confronting her and demanding to know who the father was. She imagined Larry asking her to be honest about what had happened.

“Sharra, why didn’t you tell anybody? Who is the father, and how long have you known about this?”

“Sharra, I need you to be honest with us. What’s really going on?”

Sharra didn’t want to lie, but she wasn’t ready to expose every detail of her private life before speaking with Dre. She realized that keeping a secret was sometimes about being afraid of what the truth would do once other people heard it.

“I need time. Just a little time to figure out what I’m going to do.”

Scene 6 — Destiny and Dutchess Could Change Everything

Later that afternoon, Sharra returned home and sat on her couch. She hadn’t eaten much, and her mind was still racing. Her phone buzzed, but it wasn’t Dre.

She ignored the message. She wasn’t ready to face anyone. She knew how quickly information could travel through their circle. If Destiny or Dutchess noticed that she was acting differently, they might start asking questions.

“Destiny and Dutchess are going to notice if I suddenly disappear or stop answering calls. I can’t avoid everybody forever.”

She checked her phone again. Dre still hadn’t responded. Her eyes filled with tears as she imagined having to handle everything without him.

“What am I supposed to do if he refuses to talk to me? Am I going to have to face all of this without him?”

She rested her head against the couch and cried. She feared raising a child without support, but she also feared being judged before anyone heard her side of the story.

Then another thought frightened her: what if Dre denied being the father? What if the people she expected to support her ended up taking his side?

Sharra sat upright. She needed answers, and she needed them soon.

Scene 7 — Sharra Makes a Decision

As evening approached, Sharra placed the hospital papers on her dresser and read the results again. The words hadn’t changed. She was pregnant, and she would have to take things one step at a time.

She picked up her phone and began typing a message to Dre. After reading it several times, she finally sent it.

“Dre, I went to the hospital today. The doctor told me something serious, and we need to talk face-to-face. Please don’t ignore me.”

For a few moments, she felt relieved that she had finally taken action. Then her phone vibrated. Dre had replied.

“What happened? Why are you acting like this? Can we talk tomorrow?”

Sharra’s heart raced. Tomorrow felt too far away. She wanted to tell him the truth immediately, but she feared that a message might make the situation worse.

“It’s about something that could change both of our lives. Please call me tonight.”

Dre responded again, asking her to explain what the conversation was about before they met. Sharra stared at the screen, knowing she could no longer avoid the truth.

“Dre, I’m pregnant.”

She pressed send and dropped the phone onto the bed. Her heart pounded while she waited for his response. One minute passed, then another. Finally, the phone rang. Dre was calling.

Scene 8 — Dre’s Reaction

Sharra answered the phone, barely able to speak. Dre sounded shocked, and his first question made her nervous.

“Sharra, tell me you’re serious. You’re saying you’re pregnant?”

“Yes. I went to the hospital today, and the test was positive. I didn’t know how to tell you.”

There was a long silence. Sharra held the phone tightly, waiting for him to reassure her.

“Are you sure about this?”

“The doctor told me I’m pregnant. I still need to go through the next steps, but I couldn’t keep this from you.”

Dre exhaled sharply. His reaction gave Sharra no comfort. She needed to know whether he would stand by her or leave her to face everything alone.

“We need to talk in person. There are things we need to figure out.”

“Dre, are you going to stand by me, or am I going to have to handle this alone?”

Another silence followed. Dre asked her to meet him the next day, saying he couldn’t have the conversation over the phone. Then he ended the call.

Sharra lowered her phone slowly. She didn’t know whether he was scared, angry, or hiding something. Their meeting would determine what happened next.

Scene 9 — The Unexpected Message

That night, Sharra barely slept. She kept imagining the conversation she would have with Dre the following day. She planned what she would say and how she would respond if he tried to avoid responsibility.

She knew she couldn’t keep the pregnancy hidden forever. Sooner or later, Brooke and Larry might discover the truth, and she would have to face their reactions.

She turned toward her phone, hoping Dre might send another message. Instead, a notification appeared from an unknown number.

“Before you tell Brooke and Larry about the pregnancy, you need to know something about Dre.”

Sharra’s breathing became shallow. She read the message again. Who had sent it? How did they know about the pregnancy? She had only told Dre.

“Who is this, and what do you know about Dre?”

No answer came. Then another notification appeared. This time, it was a photograph.

Sharra opened it, and all the color drained from her face. She stared at the image, unable to believe what she was seeing.

“No. This can’t be happening. What has Dre been hiding from me?”

She zoomed in on the photograph, desperately trying to understand what it meant. Then her phone began ringing again.

The caller’s name appeared on the screen. It was Brooke.

Sharra froze. Brooke was calling at the worst possible moment. She had no idea whether Brooke already knew about the pregnancy or whether she was about to reveal an even bigger secret.

Sharra looked at the photograph one last time. Then she slowly reached for the phone.
