But before the sun went down, one woman would open a door that was never meant to be opened—and discover a secret that could destroy everything.
SCENE 1 — THE PICNIC
The afternoon sun shines over a beautiful picnic location. Food, drinks, music, and laughter fill the air.
Wayne arrives with Yaya, Dev, Anthony, Sheila, Amber, and several other guests.
Everyone seems relaxed.
Everyone except Wayne.
He keeps looking toward Yaya, watching her smile and laugh with the others.
Wayne smiles and walks closer.
Yaya smiles.
For a moment, everything feels perfect.
But Wayne’s expression changes when his phone vibrates. He quickly checks the screen.
A message from Amani.
Wayne’s smile disappears.
But it isn’t nothing.
Amani has been waiting for Wayne to keep a promise he made long ago.
A promise of marriage.
A promise he has kept hidden from everyone.
SCENE 2 — WAYNE’S SECRET
Wayne walks away from the group and finds a quiet place near the trees.
He calls Amani.
She answers almost immediately.
Wayne takes a breath.
Wayne looks back toward Yaya.
Yaya is laughing with Sheila and Amber.
Amani relaxes slightly.
She still believes him.
She doesn’t know that Wayne is standing only a few yards away from another woman he is beginning to talk about a future with.
SCENE 3 — A FUTURE WITH YAYA
Later, Wayne manages to get Yaya away from the crowd.
They walk toward a quieter area overlooking the picnic grounds.
The noise of the others fades behind them.
Wayne looks directly into her eyes.
Yaya becomes quiet.
She understands what he is suggesting.
Wayne takes her hand.
A future.
Maybe even marriage someday.
Yaya looks surprised.
She never expected to hear those words from him.
Yaya smiles.
But behind Wayne’s calm expression is a secret he hasn’t told her.
He has already made the same promise to someone else.
SCENE 4 — THE UNEXPECTED ARRIVAL
A vehicle arrives at the picnic location.
Amani steps out.
She looks around, confused.
She was told that Wayne needed her there for an important business matter.
She checks her phone.
She walks forward.
Nobody seems to notice her arrival.
Amani nods.
She walks toward the building.
Her footsteps become slower as she gets closer.
She has no idea what she is about to discover.
SCENE 5 — THE DOOR
Amani reaches Wayne’s room.
She knocks.
No answer.
She knocks again.
Still nothing.
Amani slowly opens the door.
Then she freezes.
Wayne is inside.
Yaya is there too.
The room is quiet.
Yaya is sleeping.
Amani’s face changes instantly.
Shock.
Disbelief.
Then anger.
Wayne remains silent.
Her voice echoes through the room.
Yaya begins to stir.
Wayne cannot answer.
SCENE 6 — YAYA WAKES UP
Yaya slowly opens her eyes.
She looks confused.
Then she notices Amani standing near the door.
Wayne is trapped.
Two women are staring at him.
Two women are waiting for the truth.
Wayne opens his mouth.
Nothing comes out.
Silence.
Wayne has nowhere to hide.
SCENE 7 — THE PROMISE
Wayne’s eyes remain fixed on the floor.
