nou ) Sharra Explodes at Bethany for Discouraging Brooke’s College Dreams!
BROOKE FINALLY FINDS SOMEONE WHO STANDS UP FOR HER! SHARRA CONFRONTS BETHANY!
🔥 THE BEGINNING OF A FAMILY CONFLICT 🔥
Brooke has been trying to make an important decision about her future, but instead of receiving encouragement, she keeps finding herself surrounded by criticism. She wants to return to college, complete her education, and finally become independent. However, Bethany’s constant comments have started making her question whether anyone in the house genuinely believes in her.
After spending another difficult day listening to Bethany’s criticism, Brooke finally decides to contact Sharra. She knows Sharra will listen to her without immediately judging her decisions.
When Sharra answers the phone, she immediately notices that Brooke sounds upset.
SHARRA:“Hey, Brooke! What’s going on? You sound upset. Is everything okay?”
BROOKE:“Honestly, Sharra, things haven’t been good around here. I feel like I can’t make a single decision without somebody questioning me. I’m trying to do something positive with my life, but Bethany keeps making everything difficult.”
Sharra becomes concerned and asks Brooke to explain what happened.
💙 BROOKE EXPLAINS BETHANY’S BEHAVIOR
“Why? What happened? Why are you so upset?”
BROOKE:“I’ve decided that I want to go back to college. I want to focus on my education, get serious about my future, and finally accomplish something for myself. But Bethany keeps questioning whether I’m actually serious this time.”
Brooke pauses before continuing.
BROOKE:“She keeps reminding me about how much money was wasted the last time I tried college. She says she doesn’t want everybody spending money again if I’m just going to quit. I understand that people might have concerns, but there’s a difference between giving somebody advice and constantly making them feel like a failure.”
Sharra listens carefully as Brooke explains that Bethany has even suggested marriage instead of education.
BROOKE:“Can you believe that? I’m talking about my education, and she’s talking about marriage! I just want the opportunity to build something for myself.”
SHARRA:“I can’t believe Bethany is treating you this way! Who gave her the right to decide your future? If you want to go to college, you deserve her support!”
Brooke admits that Bethany’s comments have taken away her excitement about returning to school.
💜 SHARRA MAKES A BIG PROMISE
Sharra becomes quiet for a moment. She understands that Brooke needs more than comforting words. She needs a peaceful environment where she can concentrate on her future.
SHARRA:“You know what? I don’t want you sitting around that house feeling like nobody supports you. Pack your bags and come stay with me.”
BROOKE:“What? You really want me to come stay at your house?”
SHARRA:“Absolutely! You need some peace so you can concentrate on your education. You shouldn’t have to wake up every morning wondering what somebody is going to criticize you about.”
BROOKE:“I don’t want to cause any problems between you and Bethany. She’s already upset about everything.”
SHARRA:“You’re not responsible for Bethany’s reaction. I’m going to talk to her and Larry myself. They need to understand that you have your own future to think about.”
Brooke finally feels that somebody is standing up for her.
SHARRA:“I’m calling Bethany and Larry myself. Bethany needs to apologize to you before this situation gets any worse. If she refuses to understand, you’re not going back into that same environment without thinking about what’s best for you.”
💚 SHARRA HEADS STRAIGHT TO LARRY’S HOUSE
After ending the phone call, Sharra immediately decides to visit Larry’s house. She is tired of hearing about Brooke’s struggles without seeing anybody address the real problem.
Meanwhile, Larry is sitting in the living room when Bethany starts talking about Brooke’s college plans.
BETHANY:“I don’t understand why everybody is making such a big deal about Brooke going back to school. She needs to be realistic this time.”
LARRY:“What’s wrong with Brooke wanting to go to college? Isn’t that supposed to be a good thing?”
BETHANY:“I’m not saying there’s anything wrong with college. I’m saying she needs to be serious this time. We already went through this before, and I’m not interested in wasting money again.”
LARRY:“There’s a way to express your concerns without making somebody feel like they can’t succeed.”
Before Bethany can respond, somebody knocks loudly on the front door.
Larry gets up and opens it. He is surprised to find Sharra standing outside.
LARRY:“Sharra? What are you doing here?”
SHARRA:“I’m here because we need to have a serious conversation about Brooke.”
Bethany hears Sharra’s voice and immediately walks toward the entrance.
BETHANY:“What do you want, Sharra?”
SHARRA:“I want to know why you think it’s acceptable to treat my daughter the way you’ve been treating her!”
🧡 SHARRA DEMANDS ANSWERS
Sharra stands directly in front of Bethany, clearly upset. Bethany folds her arms, looking confused by Sharra’s attitude.
BETHANY:“First of all, why are you coming into my house talking to me like that? What exactly are you accusing me of?”
SHARRA:“Don’t pretend you don’t know what I’m talking about. Brooke called me and told me everything. She told me how you’ve been discouraging her from going back to college.”
BETHANY:“Are you serious? She called you to complain about me?”
SHARRA:“That’s what you’re worried about? You’re more concerned that she talked to me than you are about how you’ve been making her feel?”
BETHANY:“I haven’t done anything to her. All I did was ask her whether she was actually serious about going back to school.”
SHARRA:“There’s nothing wrong with asking a question. But constantly bringing up her past mistakes and making her feel like she can’t succeed is completely different.”
Larry finally joins the conversation.
LARRY:“Bethany, I understand that you’re concerned about the money, but you don’t have to discourage Brooke every time she talks about college.”
BETHANY:“So now you’re taking her side too?”
LARRY:“I’m not taking anybody’s side. I’m simply saying that she deserves a chance to explain what she wants to do.”
💗 BETHANY REFUSES TO APOLOGIZE
Sharra continues explaining how important it is for Brooke to have support during this stage of her life. However, Bethany refuses to accept that her comments have hurt Brooke.
SHARRA:“Do you understand how much courage it takes for somebody to try again after things didn’t work out the first time? Instead of making her feel proud of herself, you’re reminding her about everything that went wrong.”
BETHANY:“Well, somebody has to be realistic with her! We already spent money on her education once. What happens if she decides she doesn’t want to continue again? Are we supposed to keep paying for everything?”
SHARRA:“She already knows that college requires commitment! That’s why she’s trying to go back. Why can’t you give her credit for wanting to do better?”
BETHANY:“I don’t know what Brooke told you, but I didn’t do anything wrong. I was only being honest with her.”
SHARRA:“Being honest doesn’t mean you have to destroy somebody’s confidence. You could have told her that you support her and that you hope she takes school seriously. Instead, you made her feel like her dreams were a problem.”
BETHANY:“Well, I’m not apologizing for telling the truth. She wasted money last time, and I’m not going to pretend otherwise!”
Sharra stares at Bethany in disbelief. She cannot understand why Bethany refuses to acknowledge Brooke’s feelings.
💠 SHARRA’S UNEXPECTED REACTION
“You really don’t think you owe Brooke an apology? She’s trying to build a future, and you’re making her feel like she can’t do anything!”
BETHANY:“What did I say that wasn’t true? I didn’t lie! I simply told her the truth. If she doesn’t like hearing it, that’s not my problem!”
Sharra becomes extremely frustrated. She suddenly raises her hand toward Bethany in an attempt to slap her.
Bethany quickly steps back, completely shocked by Sharra’s unexpected reaction. Larry immediately moves between the two women.
LARRY:“SHARRA! What are you doing? You cannot come into my house and try to put your hands on Bethany!”
SHARRA:“Then maybe she needs to understand that she can’t keep treating Brooke this way!”
BETHANY:“Are you out of your mind? You actually came into my house and tried to hit me over something Brooke told you?”
SHARRA:“I came here because you refuse to understand what you’re doing to her!”
Larry keeps himself between them, trying to prevent the argument from becoming even worse.
🔥 LARRY FINDS HIMSELF IN THE MIDDLE
“I understand that you’re upset about Brooke, but this isn’t the way to handle things. You should have come here to talk, not to start a fight.”
SHARRA:“Larry, I’ve already talked to Brooke. I’ve heard everything she’s been going through. She’s not asking anybody to pay for her entire life. She’s asking for the opportunity to go back to school without being constantly criticized.”
LARRY:“I understand that. And I agree that she should be able to make decisions about her future.”
BETHANY:“Well, if everybody agrees with Brooke, then why am I even here? Apparently, nobody wants to hear what I have to say!”
LARRY:“That’s not what anybody is saying. But you need to understand that your words can hurt people, especially when they’re already struggling with their decisions.”
SHARRA:“That’s exactly why I’m taking Brooke to my house. She needs some time away from all this negativity. She can concentrate on college without feeling like she has to defend every decision she makes.”
BETHANY:“Wait a minute. You’re actually planning to take Brooke away from this house?”
SHARRA:“Yes. She’s welcome to stay with me. And I’m not going to force her to return somewhere she doesn’t feel supported.”
Larry looks concerned as he realizes that Brooke might actually decide to leave.
💙 BROOKE’S FUTURE BECOMES THE BIGGEST QUESTION
“Let’s not make any permanent decisions while everybody is upset. We need to speak with Brooke and understand what she actually wants.”
SHARRA:“She already told me what she wants, Larry. She wants to go back to college. The question is whether the people around her are going to support her or continue making her feel guilty.”
BETHANY:“Well, I’m not apologizing for telling the truth.”
SHARRA:“Then don’t expect Brooke to forget how you made her feel.”
Sharra finally decides to leave the argument behind. She tells Larry that Brooke deserves people who encourage her to become independent and build a future.
SHARRA:“Larry, I respect you, but I need you to understand something. Brooke deserves better than this. She deserves people who encourage her to become independent and build a future.”
LARRY:“I hear you, Sharra. I’ll talk to Brooke, and I’ll make sure she knows that I support her decision.”
Sharra nods and heads toward the front door.
SHARRA:“I’m going to call Brooke and let her know what happened. But I hope that by the time she comes back, you understand that she deserves an apology.”
She walks out, leaving Larry and Bethany standing in the living room.
LARRY:“I really wish you had handled this differently.”
BETHANY:“So now I’m supposed to apologize because Sharra came over here and tried to attack me?”
LARRY:“You don’t have to agree with everything Brooke does, but you should never make her feel like she isn’t capable of succeeding.”
